Everyone saying "oh it's so sad" is completely wrong. I cried three times, but not because it was sad. I cried tears of happiness from this video. Because this...**THIS**, is how you deal with a depressed person. Watching the MC be constantly stupid in the main game was hard to watch. This is truly one of the happiest, most accurate to depression, and one of my most favorite videos ever on the internet. Incredible.

It's pretty cool when Sayori's choices appear, they're in order which are: 1. Sayori's positive thoughts (and maybe her true desire) 2. Sayori's negative thoughts about herself 3. The stuff Monika add in, since these choices keep referring to Sayori as a 3rd person (you, Sayori...) and Monika is the only one capable of doing this in the game. It's cool how he portraits what Monika does to fuck up with the girls' minds by their choices like that. lit stuff

I can actually relate myself as MC. Just like him, I also have a girlfriend who's currently suffering from depression. The part that makes me chill is the thoughts of Sayori. It's horribly same as my girlfriend's depressive thinking. She even said the same thing as 'bring around with her is just a waste of my time'. I was devastated when I heard that and yes, I have the same reaction as MC. I need her, and she needs me. Seriously if you find someone who has depression, you don't need to do much. All you need to do is to stay around with him/her, letting him/her knows someone is here to care about. And if you suffer from depression, don't keep your thoughts lock inside your heart, speak it out, it will make things much better. Don't think you will let others worry about if you tell them, instead you will only make them worry if you don't tell them; and of cause seek for medical attention.

Sorry to necro, but I just really wanted to share my feelings. I almost went down that path. For a while I battled with the thought that nobody really cared about me. That I was just bothering the people around me. But the rational part of me fought so hard for so long, so there was always a part of me that argued against the negative thoughts, and made me doubt them. It scares me to think of just how little time I might've had before that part of me started losing its battles, before I stopped doubting the negative thoughts and started doubting the positive ones. It pains me, knowing that so many people lose that fight. That they come to believe that they really truly are a burden to the people around them, even if those people show them time after time that they love them, and don't care what problems they may cause.
@mystic_spider

Notice how to bottom choices keep referring Sayori in the second person, "You, Sayori". While the other choices use "I should, I am, etc.". I suspect Monika. Even if it isn't Monika, this is still a well written scenario.

This is just beautiful.. Even better than the original game... I would have loved a more serious game about them, about how depression, suicide, self-harm etc really feels.. how serious it can be.. A serious game who doesn't hide behind these things and say "it's Monika's fault". Because, in real life it isn't...
