I'm sorry but I'm nearly 60 years old and grew up with them. Yes my taste has changed and so have bands. I imagine both evolve. But listening to them takes me to another place that I can never grow out of. I will appreciate them till I die. As I will Aerosmith, Zeppelin, and so forth. I appreciate classical music like Rachmaninoff as well. It's not about genres anymore I don't believe. Now while I understand you may grow out of the antics of those bands, how can you grow out of the part of what once was.🌹✌️

I also believe that a few of these songs are definitely about that his past with his band members. Listen to the words to this song there was a time... I don't believe it had anything to do with Stephanie Seymour. Now this I love could possibly be in reference to her son. But sorry, this I love (his music/band), there was a time (when were a real band), and better (angry at them) the lyrics all point towards what had happened in the past with the original members. Listen to the lyrics. Again this is just my educated opinion on everything I know about them. Stephanie Seymour's son played a great deal in Axl's life. He loved that little boy. No it's possible this song could have something to do with his ex wife Ms. Everly.🌹✌️

@@DHPREACTS I stand corrected the gentleman was partly correct. it did have some basis as it starts about glass and so forth it has to do with a particular incident that occurred with Stephanie Seymour. Honestly I think Chinese democracy was in regards to where he was at that point. he no longer had the original band members with him there was bad blood and so forth. If you listen to all four songs they all sort of have the same pull towards him trying to apologize. He would do better, there was a time when things were all good/not good. I love the fact that they're playing together now and doing those songs as the old band and it's amazing chemistry, it works. And this is why through thick and thin they have remained untouchable in every aspect. Just my opinion. 🌹✌️

I listened to prostitute and to me that sounds a little bit like the story of his life and what's going on or what was going on at the time.. obviously most know that this is about when the band started splitting up and most of the original members were not on this album. However everything after 2016 the original guns and roses lineup is now singing hits like this I love and better in these concerts. Sounds just as good you wouldn't know the difference. And I agree that this happened was one of the most underrated albums of all times. This album had a lot of good elements, but it suffered from over-production hell, revolving door of musicians and their parts being recorded over and over again, revolving door of engineers, producers and managers and everything else. A lot of the rough cuts of these songs are actually better than the final product, but with all that being said Axl still sung his ass off on this album and my favorite track off the album would probably have to be the last track which is titled Prostitute.
