Two of the golfing gods together with Seve in his prime. Golden era of golf never to be repeated.

Seve was just so good. He was a golfer in every respect. He just had that it factor just like Arnold Palmer did. So athletic, so talented, and so charismatic. There will never be another Seve Ballesteros. RIP, great man. I’m glad that I got to watch you play golf in your prime like you were here. I just can’t believe you are gone.

Mate and his pal were following Seve as where 90%. Of course mate had his dog with him (on a lead) a big full breed German Shepard, they were both around 13 at the time. So as they were following Seve they noticed he was glancing over at them. Got to the 12th, Seve tee'd off then came over and said "nice dog eh", and proceeded to have a chat about how old he was and explain that his cousin in Spain breeds dogs and how well behaved a dog he was. Gent seve, peoples champion.

I was told that at one hole during this match, Nicklaus hit his ball into deep rough, and everyone was rooting around trying to find it. Eventually a spectator shouted from some distance away "I got it!". So Nicklaus and everyone else walked on up and as Nicklaus approached him the guy said "Top Flite?". I believe the look Nicklaus gave him was something quite special!

@HabloIrlandes agree, true gent, when i was 13 at the 89 ryder cup me and a few mates were sitting in the practise bunker by the range and he came over , instead of telling us off he let us sit there 2 feet from him and watch him hit bunker shots for 20 minutes, seve will always be my hero.

They were using old Persimmon woods. They were carved from one piece of wood and sounded pure, but didn't go as far as metal woods. I played with a Persimmon driver in the late 80s early 90s.

the key to jack's success later on in his career was down to the way he worked his legs just before he took the club back. it helped him to get the club to swing back on the inside and it helped him to turn.

That and the fact he got more pars than anyone else, hence his 18 majors that nobody will ever beat and it could have been 30-40 majors the amount of times he was 2nd and 3rd!

Question: Why on earth would you take a dog to a golf tournament?
@michellemabelleobamalamash7653
8 жыл бұрын
Because people try and fill an emotional void in their lives with an animal. And yes, they sometimes begin to think of the dog as a person or even a family member. It's quite absurd.
