In her first television interview since announcing her candidacy, Theresa May has told Peston on Sunday that she will unite the country if she becomes prime minister.
The politicians want May but the people want Andrea Leadsom!

all the terrible comments-I really like her-I think she could be the best conservative leader of the modern era-and possibly the best PM-I voted out-and I like what I hear from her-its certainly better than Labour who would seem to be after a second referemdum with Owen Smith. Incidentally I was a Labour party member until this referendum-I couldn't accept the fact that there was no debate in the labour party-and being bombarded with nothing but E mails asking for donations for the remain effort-without even asking me whether I agreed with the policy or not-made me think that the Tory bun fight was rather more real world-I wish Theresa the very best for Britain

Part of our post-brexit agreement for tariff-free trade with the E.U, is no restrictions on immigration. Theresa May claimed that - upon triggering article 50 - Britain will have control over free-movement of people from within the E.U: when in is in fact, impossible. She certainly isn't the type of person that will restrict the flow of migration from outside of Europe either. Any damage to investment potential - even in the short-term (like this would be) - is not compatable with the Tory hardline. The positive change, would be the increase in competiveness amongst companies for the best workers, but with the inevitable consequence of salary increases all around. It is clear that we must support our allies by trading with them, but trade agreements like this one, are very one-sided for both working and middle-class voters. The other option is a lot of economic entanglement with the BRIC nations. But supporting the formation of a trade bloc - that will one day rival the one we are currently in - would be terrible for economic relations with our neighbouring countries, and allies elsewhere. David Cameron's introduction of a living wage - for those who are over the age of 25, will both ensure that: much of our unskilled workers above that age are discriminated against, whilst also legitimising his narrative of preventing another generation of British citizens from becoming - what he calls - members of a 'benefit culture'. Let's hope that Theresa May isn't going to scape-goat the unemployed, like her former did.

UK also needs Europe, because there's a large export to the Mainland. Unless Europe has got some really bad negociators, the UK won't just get what they want. And giving the UK what they want would stimulate other countries to do the same in the EU. It will take decades to reach a solution.May already said that she will not activate article 50 before negociations with Europe are finished, and Europe doesn't want to start negociations until article 50 is launched.

We've now replaced a remain pm with a remain pm and thanks to everyone backing out of the race or resigning we will have to read bullshit all week about the leave campaign imploding. I doubt we will even leave, my early prediction, she will stay in the single market and we will keep free movement and anyone who voted leave will be laughed at.

I don't have much confidence in Theresa May. She has been a rather ineffective minister on several counts, and nowadays seems too robotic and fossilized. Andrea Leadsom, on the other hand, seems to have a much fresher, more human, more optimistic outlook, and the right set of values to lead a great new free, alive, global trading Britain. It will be great for the country in many ways if Andrea Leadsom becomes PM.
