I’m 73 and have wondered about your lifting ability since you were working alone, a few episodes back. You single handedly carried the whole log. It might have been in stages as the boards came through but you shifted it all. You’ve still got it Eddie👍

It is a good thing to have extra help with 20 footers. Even Grandpa agrees with that. That makes everyone happy. I know it would make me happy. I must say your crew really knows how to devour the timber.

I would have to say that both ideals would have to apply. They are indeed getting heavier and as human nature would dictate the physical body grows weaker. That does not mean the mind weakens. If the truth be known, it only goes stronger and ties in with the word of the day as the appreciation for the simple things or those that bring us happiness grows all that much stronger and we often spend more time doing the things we love or appreciate doing. So happiness is what we as individuals love to do. No matter what it might be.

Good day sir. Perhaps you need to take this a bit more careful. Not that you are getting older but that you need to be more careful with those longer timbers. Remember Safety is job one. In Sunday school we learned that there are two great commandments, the second recommends “loving your neighbor like YOUR SELF.! Eddie, you have to love (& by extension CARE) for Your Self BEFORE you can love anyone else. Dear brother, please take care of YOUR SELF so that you are able to care for your spousal unit, Mark, ZZ and the rest of your team. Wishing you a blessed week filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather. Peace brother

(Apocalypse Now: The HORROR) WOTD: 'Slap Happiness'....the shear and utter joy of curtly cuffing-up ZZ Marky-Mark while he tries to go about spouting-off, and after attempting to steal my main Off-Barer job.

The question I have is why haven't you moved that diesel engine to a location where it is not as loud.
@richparks1966
21 күн бұрын
Too many linkages to bring PTO power, and other assorted systems back to where they need to be. To block all that sound it would have to be out back by the sawdust barn, and that's on the hard side of the tracks to make it functional.
@yt650
21 күн бұрын
@@richparks1966 Something to consider is that there can be a control unit with levers that operate a hydraulic system that is a closed system that through low pressure hose goes to any control. It could run under everything or over top of everything. There isn't anything on that unit that cannot be controlled with a hydraulic cylinder with a proper stroke and the proper control at the operators end. One of my last jobs was Setting up a system to hydraulically control bins of crushed gravel to be loaded into quarry trucks from above. The system is really quite simple. If one says it probably would cost too much money then that is a good argument. No power unit needed.
@richparks1966

@@yt650 Mark usually says the same thing, too many connected systems to rework. That mill has some sort of edger that sits in front of the cab, Mark didn't even install that.
