The car at 5:52 is Nissan Pulsar GTI-R, which is one of my dream cars, it's pretty weird looking, weighs nothing, and drives all four wheels. Oh and also with the stock 227hp engine it goes from 0-100 in 5.6 seconds. The engine is an unique to that car, but it's very similar to the engine in 200SX, and is very tunable.

Actually, for those that would really know about auto: SALT WATER AND GAS DON'T GO TOGETHER. Trust me, I have seen what it can do (PTSD ensues.) But seriously, it was saltwater mixing with either the gas itself or oil in one of the engines, hence why car makers or importers usually have cars in sea containers. Good work @carmighty, I actually liked this video and might put some similar things into my video's when I do my write ups or auto overviews.

Fun fact-the Pinzgauer is made by Steyr-Daimler-Puch, the same Steyr that made the Armee Universal Gewehr (StG-77/AUG), that would eventually become Steyr-Mannlicher and then Steyr Arms after Steyr-Daimler-Puch went their separate ways. Also, while the rollbar in the rollover test may have survived, it's hard to say if anything else might've...especially since it keeps rolling after the cut!

0:40 The car got ignited because of the battery. I live in a island of Brazil that isnt connected with the continent. We can only travel to the continent using ships and since its common sense here removing the battery from the car after parking it in the ship, because almost everybody knows that it'll ignite a fire if sea water hits the hood.

The cars which are transported are probably japanese junk cars which are reimported to Russia. Their international market price is close to zero, that's why almost no preventive measures are undertaken against their damage. They are uninsured and are sometimes, in fact, "not cars". They are in some ways "deactivated" before being exported as "metals" from Japan, and "reactivated" in garage repair shops in Russia. Then they are sold to Russian people while ferry drivers, customs officers and repairmen are pocketing the profits.

I'm betting on an electrical short causing the fire on that ship. There was a similar situation a few years back where a ship hauling new Mazdas grounded and then rolled onto its side, and when all the cars slid to the one side of the ship one or two of the batteries in the cars got knocked loose and started shorting against the hood/bonnet. In those instances they didn't start a fire, but there were definitely burn marks where the shorting had occurred. A battery getting rattled loose (or even already being loose as so many people don't bother to replace the tie downs once they break) and shorting against greasy sheet metal would definitely make for a good source of ignition.

From what I can see in this snipped up clip, is the fire appears to have originated from one of the cars in the top right hand side. The flame intensity prior to spread and size would lead me to believe it was probably a lithium fire from an EV vehicle. Based on the date, and types of cars being stowed, and the lackluster stowage of this EV in particular and based on its origin port (india) and destination (china) is that it was possibly carrying one of china's new BYD model EV cars (notorious for catching on fire at this point due to very poor quality control) (BYD has a manufacturing plant in India that produces these EVs which are heavily promoted in China, despite BYD auto claiming to be an independent auto manufacture) This is a RoRo ship, likely the Russian operated ANGARA.

Ahhh, Subaru's and snow....so much fun 😝 Drove an 1980 manual Subaru station wagon with on demand 4WD on a rural mail route (used to be known as Star Routes, but now known as Highway Contract Routes) in the Sandhills of western Nebraska. Got stuck in snow twice one year. First one was high centered in a drift. Dad had bought an inflatable jack that used the exhaust of the vehicle to inflate it. Which turned out to be pretty handy as the heat compressed the snow. All I really had to shovel was a space for the bag to fit, inflate it, deflate it and do that on the other side of the car then put the bag and the shovel back in the car and finish the route. Second one was during a ground blizzard. Beautiful clear blue sky but really cold with pretty high winds blowing loose snow around. Front right got stuck and pretty much as fast as I could shovel more snow blew in and hit the warm tires then froze with more snow blowing in. I had to walk just over 1/4 mile to the next ranch house to ask for help. The wind was so cold that one of my eyes got cold enough that I couldn't blink or move that eye until I sat in the warm house for just over a half hour. I hate ground blizzards!! My dad brought the 1978 Dodge Ramcharger with 4WD and one of the guys at the ranch house took one of their 4 WD ranch pick-ups to the Subaru. Each one tried to pull it out and ended up with both hooked onto the Subaru, backed up to almost touching the front bumper, told me to just put it in neutral, and then both taking off at the same time jerking the car out. There was sounds of ice cracking as it got pulled out. And I swear that Subaru might have either cried a bit or said a cuss word.....or maybe that was me 😏

2:40 "You don't get it. We have the capsule for WHEN we crash, not, 'If.'" So, on the powered wheelbarrows, there are models you lift but it has a drive motor for like $450.00, all the way up to a $4500-ish tracked behemoth with a stand platform. I'd put an excavator bucket on that and call it my Budget Bobcat. And at the end? Now that you mention it, I have never seen a Subaru get or be stuck.
@TheColosiss

My theory: The ship fire was likely caused by a static discharge. A battery could have been the issue, but I believe the high seas, salt-water mist, and localized storm created the perfect catastrophe. Static buildup on ships is a well documented phenomena that can be a early warning sign for a serious storm. This has been mostly observed by hair standing on end during cruise ships. The static discharge had very little options considering the grounding nature of vehicles. Plasmatic discharges, like lightning, are sometimes very similar in nature when considering the path of least resistance. I believe there was a significant discharge over the framework of that vehicle being near a fuel source. A small oil patch, anything in the path would have been subject to a small yet significant amount of energy... FIRE...
@liquidalloy

Absolutely an electrical issue that made those cars on the boat go on fire. Trucks have batteries located outside of the engine compartment making them VERY vulnerable to getting shorted out, especially around salt water.
