It’s hard for me to see the Lexus LC500 depreciating too much more than they already have. Lexus is known for holding its value really well and the LC has a naturally aspirated V8 and looks that can kill with luxury to boot. Demand will for sure always be there. Any unreliable brand (such as the mentioned Maserati in your video) will definitely lose a ton of value because they’re less desirable and their reputation isn’t that good.. Hard to say the same for any Lexus.

I think the LC will hold its value around $50k -$70K, then when Lexus ends production ( I think 2024 or 2025 is the last year/s), they'll go up to $100k +. The GT-R is a good example. I think most people wouldn't have thought the Nissan GT-R would hold its value almost twenty years later. Only time , availability, and demand will tell. Awesome video.

I don't know about the others but I went shopping for a V10 R8 not that long ago and if I wasn't intending on mods I would have bought one. They're a little bit more, high 70k to low 90k depending on mileage. You can get a really nice one with about 40k miles for about 80k. That is a lot of car for the price and those Lambo V10's are very good engines. Unfortunately 80k is about as much as I can afford and I'm looking at over 20K in mods so I'm have to keep that cash for now and wait a couple of years. If they drop another 10K - 15K I am getting one. Almost the performance of a Huracan with the luxury of an Audi. I have never test-driven a better car. To be honest the only reason why I don't have one now is because I don't want some Mustang or Challenger pulling up next to me and walking my "exotic". I've been with a friend in his Viper and that chit was embarrassing. So if I own one it must have the twin turbo, straight pipe, with fuel sys & intake package, which I priced at around 25k minus shipping the car. As far as I know you have to get the twin Turbo to have a choice between a few different tunes so you're not pushing 1000hp all of the time, please correct me if I am wrong because a blower is cheaper and I would much rather have a blower if I can get a 1000HP with different tunes out of it. If a Mustang can walk an AWD 1,000hp exotic then I'm fine with that because they had so much work done to push their engine that it will probably blow at some point. Those V10s have proven they can handle an extra 450 HP and still be reliable. I can't wait for interest rates to drop back to normal and that car to lose a little bit more value, fingers crossed!!

Porsche taycans and audi etron gts will be next. They are already depreciating hard. 30% depreciation for a 1 year old car with 15k kilometers on the clock is crazy for a flagship car. There's nothing inherently wrong with these cars. 270kwh charging (15min 0-80%) and ~400km range makes them actually usable as normal cars and they do deliver a sports car atmosphere. The only reason they are dropping in price is because so many car "enthusiasts" don't see them as an option.

I'm STILL annoyed that Mercedes discontinued the AMG GT/GTS/GTC/GTR. It was just such an astonishingly handsome car with good performance to boot and a fair amount of interesting tech in the GTC variant. The relatively unique driving position of nearly between the rear axle also gave it a particularly visceral feel that is difficult to find in other cars and makes it feel exciting even when you are well below it's performance ceiling. If you can find one for a good price, particularly a GTC, pick it up. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I don't find the Lexus LC500 to be a particularly attractive car, but you know it'll last way longer than most cars with that amount of performance because Toyota believe that longevity speaks louder than anything else. The 718 is a fantastic looking product line, particularly after the mid-generation refresh. It'll be nice once the 4.0L variant is finally willing to drop in price below $80k on the used market, but it's understandable why it has particularly high value at the moment. It's too good and the people who own them still intend to hold onto them. The Cayman has always been an excellent handling car due to its balance and suspension design, and the 4.0L variant skews that slightly more rearward and gives it enough power to compete with base to mid trim 911 models, so it's undoubtably excellent. I wish that BMW had continued to develop and iterate on the design ideology of that generation of 8 series. It's so handsome compared to the BS of their latest giant grilled 4 series abominations. I don't care how they handle or how performant they are if I can't get past how ugly the thing is. Isn't the Maserati MC20 the current generation of supercar that really wants to kill you? I mean, exciting for sure and a thing of absolute beauty. It'll be interesting to see if Maserati manages to avoid its curse of extreme depreciation with that model.

The last Lexus I actually cared about, was the 1999-2005 Lexus IS 200/Toyota Altezza, and those cars weren't even that expensive, especially if you went for the Altezza over the IS 200. But there's a reason why even the Lexus LFA gets looked over, when compared to it's competitors, it wasn't even that great of a car and why it got replaced by the Lexus RC F.
