I actually bought this fan set 4-5 years ago, the price is about the same and the fans have been working really well this whole time. I've moved them into 3 different cases and I've still not had any issues. I do recommend them if you just need fans to move air.

My experience with them is the complete opposite, unfortunately. I bought a pack back in March last year to use as case fans in one of my home servers and they're rubbish. Four of them are clipping really bad at anything above ~550 rpm. I don't know when it started but I noticed it in late December when I was doing some maintenance/cleaning on several of my computers. I don't care about them failing, like Jay said they're almost disposable. But their performance is worse than having some tiny pet mouses coughing at your heatsinks.

They are not the OG Antec that we all knew and loved. They failed to keep up with the market and went downhill after being purchased by some Taiwanese company in the 2010s. It was disappointing as I had both LANBoy I and II cases, multiple TruePower Trio and Earth Watt PSUs for my old AMD Athlon XP builds that I still use to this day. I love how so many people just mention the Arctic P12 or P14. Those are really good fans. Especially when considering the price. When the Fractal Design R6 came out I bought it and was really disappointed in the fans it came with. They pushed no air and when maxed out at 1000rpm where really loud and annoying. Then I wanted to replace them with some Noctua's but then I saw the price for the Noctua ones and researched a bit more thus I found the Arctic ones. I love the P14's I bought. The noise dropped, they moved more air even at really low rpm so much so that the temperatures for the GPU, CPU and VRM of the motherboard dropped by 10C compared to the Fractal ones at max rpm. Yes the Arctic ones running at lower rpm beat the Fractal ones at max rpm, and by a lot.

I went for a budget option for my (similarly budget) case, buying a set of $4-$5 120mm fans made by a Polish company called SilentiumPC. These ones though use a 4-pin PWM connector, and each fan has a secondary male 3-pin plug, letting you chain them together and plug multiple fans into a single header on the mobo. They also reach almost 2500 RPM according to Fan Control, which is pretty decent. Perfectly sufficient for my build, although they do get noticeably loud at around 50-60%, and above 80% are just downright noisy. But for that price, I'm very happy. Budget gear can be pretty damn good.

Having multple case fans spinning slowly does wonders to acoustics. I have a Corsair 4000D Airflow with 4 case fans, 3 of which are from a Cooler Master MB511 case. My fans move quite a bit of air but they're still silent (I set them to something like half speed). The two loudest things in my PC are the Dark Rock Pro 4 under full load and my two 3.5" drives seeking. After I removed the HDDs I now have the most quiet PC in my circle by far. One of my friends has a 5600x under his Cooler Master 240 AIO and he can do 5.95GHz at 40 degrees under a gaming load with the fans at half speed. The only reason his PC is louder than mine is because of GPU coil whine. Another one of my friends has a Corsair H150i Capellix and the pump noise in that thing is a doozy (it's almost as loud as my old HDDs under IO-heavy workloads).

Great video. You underestimate how much these type of videos are liked. I would change the name to be 'build a super cooled computer for a fraction of the price'

I've run these fans in an antec p101 case (daily driver) for about 3 years now with no issues. I also run them in a rosewill 4u rack box (the one that preceeded the unit jay used for their nas). Those have been running for over a year, basically always on, also with no issue.

You only need a 50,000 dollar machine for science... and in Steves case, keeping companies honest. The kind of test you did is still valid (even without accurate math) for comparing general airflow of a fan against itself, with and without restriction, at specific voltages. Also, I use the Antec Prism RGB fans... I found them about 5 years ago, and have had no reason to pick any other fan IMO. Ive used them as open air, and on radiators. They work great. I will definitely vouch for Antec.

investing in a Fan Hub is the best way to manage case fans, I have only 2 fans conected to my Motherboard, i.e CPU and a Exhaust, Rest 6 are connected to a HUB, best thing about hub is it gives you an option to tun off the fan in one button press, so when I am not gaming or rendering, I keep them off, you can still use the ARGB on it,

Arctic P12s/P12 PST, Still take the win for me, with regional pricing now you can actually get 4-5 Noctua Redux fans for the price of these. Still cool options.

I lately bought arctic p12 pwm pst black-transparent fans (if you don't care about looks it literally doesn't change performance), for less than 5.8$ each and those are great and 1-1.4$ cheaper than normal p12 pwm pst. Probably cheapest, but still good option with pwm. But honestly I am not going over 1000 rpm even once a week, so these should do their job pretty well

I paid 40 quid delivered (inc VAT) for a freeflow case with 4 fans installed brand new. It even has a glass side panel. Long story short, ya just don't need to spend silly money to get what you need. The only "downside" is that it takes maybe 5 extra minutes to do your cable management.

I *JUST* got a 3 pack of the storm 140mm and they kick ass. Not radiator fans (high cfm, lower static pressure). They can move a lot of air, though, if they're not impeded by a grill. I have my cpu AIO exhaust into the case and these bad boys suck all that air right out the front, keeping my gpu cool.

arctic p12 or f12 are even better, similar price but 4pin pwm fans all black design and they actually feel quite good, I have 6 of the f12 in my case think they were about $6aud each buying them individually, $7aud is like $4.50 USD
