The South Tyrolean Pflersch Valley, at the foot of the Tribulaun, is the home of the "Pflerer Gitschn". The four young ladies are united by a close friendship on the one hand and their shared passion for music on the other. Michaela Sparber (guitar), Natalie Ploner (Styrian harmonica), Johanna Mader (violin) and Ingrid Marginter (Styrian harmonica) have already recorded two albums together and also make music together diligently despite different places of residence and professions.
The meaning of their band name is defined as follows:
Pflerer: [pflea:ror] coming from Pflersch
Gitschn: [gìt:schn] f., plural of Gitsche; Mädls, girls
