This is such a gross oversimplification. The complexities behind the psychology of hate and admiration compounded with wealth and celebrity are leagues beyond such a simple assessment. They don't hate billionaires but love celebrities, seeing as most billionaires ARE celebrities by virtue OF their wealth. They don't hate billionaires simply because they're rich, but what they do with it or how they obtain it. And rich is such a huge spectrum. If you make $1 million a year, you're rich. If you make $1 billion you're rich. Are these even remotely close levels or rich? Not to mention of course everyone wants to be rich, lack of money is a barrier to a TON of things, being rich solves a lot of problems. But wanting to be rich isn’t always or even most of the time out of envy or jealousy. And influencers aren't billionaires. I doubt Mr. Beast, who i think is maybe the richest, or at least one of, isn't anywhere close to a billionaire. A billion dollars is a literally unfathomable about of money. If you made $500k a year from the year 0 AD, you'd have FINALLY made it to $1 billion in the year 2000 if you didn't spend a dime. Still think it's just jealousy and envy?

First of all, people got used to that when they needed help too, nobody came.. when they need serious amount of $$$ for operations and medication to save their 4 year olds, no billionaire fucking cares and if they can't get enough donation or cash for frickin bottlecaps, they can fuck themselves. Their child is bound to die eventough they were on TV, for example. Who do you feel empathy for? Because many people won't feel shit because they see with their own eyes, that these people have billions to spend money on innovations that could change our lives forever, not to build shit to exploit our resources more. There are people out there who died with their knowledge and got silenced before that. Open your eyes, they don't want to help this way but only take. So second of all, maybe their sick newborn can be saved because their parents have money. Cool and nice, everything for children. But what one innocent soul deserves, another one should be equally treated as such. Don't come with the "they donate enough for whatever organizations", many of them do it for taxes and to look good. If they would donate billions, you wouldn't see fucking Jean Reno begging for your extra money on instagram. Their choice is to spend money on whatever they want, and die accordingly, and mine if I support inherently emotionless bastards who have no idea how much money their companies make, for their families to ab*se the ranking system fulfilling their ego. After you see the bigger picture, you can't feel sympathy for people who dig their own graves. And they can and will judge that percentage of humanity all they want.

There was an incident in the Carribbean sea in 2022 where several divers got sucked into a pipe and were trapped. Their cries for help could be heard but they were left to die because it was believed a rescue attempt would be futile. I think the point some people are trying to make, including myself, is that had there been a billionaire down there a huge rescue effort would have taken place. These were men doing a dangerous and necessary job, not paying a small fortune to sightsee a grave site because they have nothing better to do. I have zero sympathy for those who were on board except perhaps the misguided teen. I have immense sympathy for the divers who were left to die in the pipe and whose families relied on their income.
