It so sad to see this video. I pray these people get the support they need because the stress they must be feeling right now cant be good for their health.

Community members should cordon off the "precipice" section of that drainage across the road. One cannot traverse there at night. Concerned residents please act - don't wait on politicians or NWA.

St. Thomas should be listed as a disaster zone. No matter the correctional procedure, the problem will always exist. Can't stop water coming from the hills when it rains. The council shouldn't allow houses to be built in some areas.

Actually for the residents at Grants Pen where you see all of the ruble it's where the original main road used to run but when they build they highway they bypass the original road to the community and install 2 big drainage pipes for the highway which channels everything into the community.

St. Thomas is the highest parish in Jamaica. There are rivers and streams in almost every valley and they are mostly fast flowing. On that point I agree with you. Grants Pen is man made and the residents have been screaming loudly for a long time now. I hope it's resolved soon.

I hope some remedial actions can be taken in the shortest possible time to help alleviate the problems the citizens in both communities are experiencing.

I never liked those "across the road" drainage. Shouldn't be a permanent solution. That drainage though must have been damaged before and was eroding.

Yeah from last year it was being eroded
