25 year journeyman here. We tape a drill on the end of a stick with the trigger held on to drill our holes in ceilings. Put a funnel on it to stop the dust, works great.

I suspect demand will quickly push into other concrete cutting and demolition applications ....since they tend to involve heavier tools and multiple health considerations like dust inhalation and tool vibration. Real question is how long before exoskeletons/power suits/ or whatever other type of strength enhancing wear become more common place in the building, landscaping and arborist trades. Seems there are some companies starting to market such devices (Sarcos, German Bionic).

Pretty darn impressive, of course we all knew it would come to this with the sever lack of trades people and the fast ramp up of computer technology. Nevertheless It is impressive what we can think of a robot can do. I believe this will do just about anything it will be programed to do, swing a hammer, cut a board, frame a wall trench for pipe and even trim trees with a baby chainsaw... "Wink" Sarah! Thank You again for another informative video tool announcement.

Looks like trades people should start thinking about Learning about robotics and maintenance on the machines. I can see this costing alot less in a few years and being way more capable than humans they wont fatigue. Every industry is going to change robots will become the labor force and we all need to become operator's and maintenance people

Hate to say it but Robots with AI will completely change how we build. Elon Musk has just created a company only for AI development as Google and Microsoft and Chinese scientists published 240,000 papers on AI, but American scientists only published 150,000 papers last year. This will be game changer. Competition is vastly heating up and needs to be closely watched.

1000 holes per day? That’s total BS. That’s 2 per minute on an 8 hour shift. But the human operating it needs to get it set up and operational which would be at least 30 minutes plus putting it away is another 30 minutes. So if you’re lucky you get 7 hours of steady use which = 2.4 holes per minute. To do that many holes per minute, every hole would need to be layed out in advance and you have 25 seconds to find the location, move the machine precisely into location and drill the hole. These are fake numbers. Total crap. Or you can hire 6 guys at $25/hour and they can go nuts on a scissor lift and save you $398,800.

WHAT A LOAD OF BOLLOCKS. 400k. that is 10 years worth of wages before you would make a return on investment. then you have to replace the batteries. sorry but this is moving the industry backwards.
