Yeah. The green ghosts name is Slimer. In the cartoon from the 90's Slimer became like a pet to the Ghostbusters and he would hang out in the firehouse and eat all of Peter's food. Lol. Great Review!

The Slimer name was exclusive to the cartoons. Other known aliases include Onion Head and, somewhat boringly, Green Ghost. The cartoon had a lot of interesting firsts, from the first to name the slimy green ghost character on screen, to the first time anyone actually said 'proton pack' in Ghostbusters media. It kinda blew my mind to go back and realize that no one ever actually refers to the proton packs AS 'proton packs' in the first movie.

Here's a fun fact - Ghostbusters II is nowhere near as good as the original from 1984. There's no plot, the story is lacking & I'd rather watch Ghostbusters 2016 Answer The Call over this one. I remember being 11 yrs old and watching this twice at the show and both times I was disappointed.

@@LastLetterisZed702 There is no question that the original is a lot better. Ghostbusters II is Christmas themed and has a real villain. But 2016 Ghostbusters is absolute crap. There is no plot or a real script. Just a bunch of visual gags

14:20 Yep, that's Slimer all right. Believe it or not, his toy was the most popular out of all the Ghostbusters toys. 18:20 That's a reference to the supposed (significantly exaggerated by urban legends) many punishments suffered by Rasputin, though Rasputin was also castrated... maybe they weren't allowed to mention that in a PG-rated movie? 27:23 The guy in the labcoat here is Bill Murray's brother in real life. 28:52 The guy on the right here is Cheech Marin, part of the comedy duo Cheech And Chong. If you like jokes about people blazed out of their minds on marijuana, you should watch some of their movies. 38:20 You're right. Ghostbusters 2016 is a remake with an all female Ghostbusters team, and Ghostbusters Afterlife (which came out last year if I remember correctly) returns to the original continuity. 38:40 Watch it just in case it's good (I haven't seen it yet). I've heard a lot of people hate on it but considering who they are and why they hate it their opinions are best ignored. Politics enters the equation with any movie that has female main characters.

The third movie was a remake of the first movie and in my opinion failed to capture the spirit of the original (pun intended). However, Afterlife did a truly phenomenal job at giving reverence to the first two movies while building upon and expanding the series. Afterlife is one of my absolute favorite sequel movies of all time.

Aria, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe was an action figure line from 1982-87? and had a cartoon in 1983 that really skyrocketed the toys into popularity with kids, they had an animated movie, the Secret of the Sword in 1985 and a live action movie in 1987, Masters of the Universe, so maybe the kids were still chanting for He-Man when this came out, i know i was waiting for the live action movie. hope you like either the cartoon movie or the live action one, the cartoon is more like the toy line and the live action movie not as much but has it's merits.

@@ariachanson01 My big recommendation would be Groundhog Day, but it looks like you've already reacted to that (I will check it out in a bit). 1. Caddyshack is comedy from the 1970s with Chevy Chase as well as the Murray brothers (Bill Murray and Brian Doyle Murry). I will recommend another Chevy Chase at the end of the list. 2. Scrooged is another Bill and Brian Murry movie, which is worth watching once but I don't consider it a high rewatch movie (unlike Groundhog Day, Caddyshack, and Vacation series) 3. The National Lampoon Family Vacation! series is definitely worth your time, starting with the original from 1978? It has Brian Doyle Murray in a bit part and Chevy Chase as lead. This is a movie I (and my family) have watched probably 100 times (my brother is a big Chevy Chase fan). I enjoy your reaction videos. I like your attitude and your beauty. Some people act for the camera when reacting, but I get the sense that you are just being real, which I like.

"Afterlife" is Ghostbusters 3 and you will find out why. The 2016 bomb was a sorry, trashy attempt at a total reboot. Sony lawyers even forced many of the original cast to show up as cameos playing totally different characters under penalty of lawsuits. The women actors/comedians by themselves can be quite funny, but as Ghostbusters they were terrible and the jokes landed like duds. The whole thing was a sh--show.

Third one is a remake, and an extremely mediocre one at that. Skip it. Fourth one was an attempt to capitalize on the 'Stranger Things 80's nostalgia.' Not bad, and focuses mainly on a new group children but the original cast is barely in it. Not a true sequel, more of a legacy film. I would recommend stopping at the second one.

What exactly makes something 'extremely' mediocre? Kind of a contradiction in terms. "It's incredibly close to the middle between good and bad," I suppose you might say.
