Ppl dont even realise how much happiness a bunch of fish brings, how a breeder spreads not just his produce but also alot of emotions and how much they means to the other people, reason I breed fish is not just to earn money but to share the healthy happiness with others as well and the expression on the face of the children are just priceless, good job nick❤️

Hey Nick, Congrats on the Cory eggs. Can you share a video on your water treatment system used for doing water changes and links to purchase it? I'm just a hobbyist and would like to share what has worked for me especially with some difficult strains. Firstly i wouldn't do any water changes in large amounts. Only do minimal tanks maintenance to only keep parameters stable. Test kits are often used and records to ensure there's no spikes etc. Having live plants helps to balance it. Use lots of ial or tannin materials. Feed the pair or group very well especially with frozen bloodworms or if you have live white worms and mosquito larva, daphnia works best. You can even try feeding small chunks of raw shrimp & salmon. If you can even feed earthworms if you can get a clean source. Steam egg can also be used. Caution as these are very high protein foods closely monitor water quality and remove any uneaten foods. Smaller but frequent feedings is best than a large feeding. Conditioning should be minimum of 3 weeks. I would also check the weather to see when a heavy rainstorm is expected and check the barometric pressure to see if it changes. Around this time i would do a 70% water change and drip acclimate the colder water in as not to shock the fishes. Usually by next day they should spawn. I also try to sync it with the Full moon or New moon cycle approximately 3 days prior the Fullness of Moon. If the rains like 2 days before moon phase it help triggers them (That's when u do the massive water changes). Patience is the key to all of this and if the fishes are comfortable and in breeding condition/ age they should breed.. Have a fixed light on and off cycle on a timer so they can imitate the natural sunlight sequence. Lastly one other method that has worked for me is to separate the sexes for the 3 weeks conditioning period as sometimes being with both genders they don't have the stimulus to breed as the hormones are diluted. IMO the males being in with females pheromones makes them not eager to breed if kept always. I've found that by being in a high testosterone all males tank when put with females they get super excited to spawn.. Well hope this helps. Best of luck.

A tip for breeding the Orange Laser Corys would be to put a broad leafed plant in the tank (like an Anubias). Got that from Rachael O'Leary.

My cory laid eggs all over the place, including on the back of one of my nerite snail!! It’s been 3 days since I discovered them, and no changes, so I suspect the eggs aren’t fertile.

Hi, great video! Just wondering, how do you cull fish humanely? I think I might need to cull some fish and I'm wondering the best way to do it. Thanks

I raised discus and angelfish commercially for a while. The most humane way I found was to have a small fine mist spray bottle of alcohol at hand. Net the cull(s), give a quick spritz with the alcohol to the gills and they are gone immediately.

Loving the videos Nick! In your opinion what is the easiest Cory's to breed? I'm planning on selling all my BN plecos and replacing them with corys, the plecos are just producing too much waste and I've been getting some ammonia spikes, I usually only breed live bearers so I'm completely new to egg laying fish so if you could give me some tips on egg layers I'd really appreciate it, keep up the great content
