Helpful review, thanks for sharing. "people who liked the Pilgrim will like this". I was considering the Oracle Mark 3 but that's out me off. I had yhe Pilgrim. Yes it had detail but it was uninspiring. I'll stick with my budget friendly Simgot ea500lm which i love for their excitement and involvement.

What’s your use case for these other monitors though? Isn’t the Oracle marketed as a studio monitor? Studio monitors do not care about how you feel about the songs you listen through them, they want you to hear details about your live mix (as a recording engineer or live sound engineer) and live playing (if you’re a musician tracking yourself in the studio). It’s a tool to fix problems in the mix and stereo placement. They’re not the most comfortable for leisure and long hours of wear. But great review, would be a plus too if you could compare them to the same studio monitoring centric IEMs.
@Jaytiss

I think studio monitoring is a bit different per person. It depends on what you want. I don’t have experience in studio monitoring so I am not going to claim that I do in my review. Sorry I can’t really help with that.

Hey Jay! Now that you have heard the Aful Cantor, Thieaudio Oracle MKIII or the Cantor? Succinct differences if you got time, and which one would you recommend (if budget just for one)? Thanks
@Jaytiss

They are all so expensive it's hard to say. Honestly think about the KE4 as it's a solid pick. Try to demo first. Money no issue, I'd go Cantor over Theiaudio MKIII.
@Crashboomwallop
Ай бұрын
@@Jaytiss Thanks man. Yeah, money is an issue! But been thinking/saving up for a near-totl iem in that price range (Cantor-price max on that scale). Very curious now about KE4 (not heard about it, as yet), but will continue with my original plan of getting that Totl-ish iem that my finances can stretch. Like my P8s, my most-used iem, and Cantor seems a natural progression (okay, a leap!) on that front. Only thing was when I had thought about getting that expensive an iem, I was vaguely thinking about it having ESTs (if not Bone conduciton), but i trust the Aful tech-ers. Am sure the treble is real good. Waiting for the Starry night version to be stocked. Will mostly bite, unless something else pops in the month or two. Thanks a ton.

nice. I HAVE tried a Thieaudio IEM.. the Hype2, and my ear couldn;t get along with it... the back part of the interior of my ear kept getting sore.. So the size is not a small matter.

Eq to lower mids , change cable , Pentacon adapter, eartips , burn-in 100 hours high quality DAC/amp player , but in comparison I like the P8 more .

It shouldn't have the snare attack to your brain, you haven't burn-in long enough and a higher quality DAC AMP is required A cable upgrade is required.

Tonality plays a 40% role (you emphasize tonality as 80-90% of the value) but imo technicalities also play a 40% role (The other 20% is in fit looks and comfort). Some of us are more interested in soundstage, imaging, and resolution. I and others are not afraid to use a little EQ if it is necessary. I'm not 100% fond of the Mest mk2 tonality but it's tech ability is the best I've heard. A slight eq adjustment and they become the best iems I've ever heard.

The Gm has this rich bass to which I didn’t find on the SE. I’d recommend either stretching to the GM or demoing the SE first. Our mileage may vary.

Here is Chat GPT: EST drivers, short for Electrostatic drivers, are known for their unique sound characteristics: Detail and Clarity: Electrostatic drivers are highly regarded for their ability to reproduce intricate details in sound. They are known for a clean, clear presentation that reveals subtle nuances in music. Transient Response: They excel in handling fast transients, making them ideal for reproducing the attack and decay of musical notes accurately. This contributes to a lively and dynamic sound. Speed and Accuracy: EST drivers are very fast in their response compared to traditional dynamic drivers. This speed translates into precise imaging and separation of instruments and vocals. Smooth High Frequencies: Electrostatic drivers typically produce very smooth and extended high frequencies without harshness or sibilance. This results in a natural and effortless treble presentation. Wide Soundstage: They often create a wide and spacious soundstage, providing a sense of openness and depth to the music. However, the exact sound signature can vary depending on the implementation and tuning by different manufacturers. In general, though, EST drivers are prized for their fidelity, detail, and the ability to convey the emotional nuances of music effectively.
