I was very skeptical... But now I plan to keep these crusts stock piled in the freezer. I used a pie plate with some olive oil on it and they came out beautifully! and perfect size for personal size pizza... I was unsure about the taste at first but it grew on me - just don't expect it to taste like a yeast base! I baked extra and wrapped them up in cling wrap, stuffed them in the freezer, and the other night when we had "no food in the house", we had pizza. :) yum!

Did you try it yet? I bake it for about 20 min... the crust doesn't burn. It's just like using a pre-cooked pizza crust you wold buy in the store - but better ;).

I always put 3/4 cups of luke warm milk when I make pizza dough, along with water, olive oil, (salt, sugar, 1tsp) and instant yeast. I don't knead the dough. The dough becomes soft and fluffy like, focaccia.

I am Italian. WE do not make pizza dough with milk and eggs. In it there is flour, water, salt and and a thing called "lievito di birra" : it could be translated with yeast? Baking Pouder? It is a little cube that we buy at the local supermarket and must be kept in the fridge because it has a little expiration period. Some of us add a little amount of olive oil to the dough. That is how you make Italian pizza. We do not like non italian people altering and bastardizing our way of cooking.Ciao.

I appreciate the content but i gotta say this had me laughing... You say at the beginning "its actually quite common".. im waiting for you to qualify that statement because ive NEVER heard of a dough recipe like this, but you just kept plowing along .. "you just pour it in"... I'm like oh yeah no that's familiar; i ALWAYS pour my pizza dough Dont forget to not to top it!. I was just looking for more thoughts about using milk in a (somewhat) more traditional deepdishs.. i tried a recipe recently which uses mulk, which ive never tried, and it was fantastic. Much better rhan the uno/Chicago style deep dish imo

This would have been ok IF I had chosen the correct pan. I chose an air bake pizza pan which was way too thick for the crust to cook properly. The flavor was good though. By far the fastest and easiest crust to make - If I had just used a normal cookie sheet. Well I tried it again with a normal cookie sheet and ...no. This just isn't good. Sorry. It's fast and easy but not so great. IMO.

Mary Beth, a chef? Bullshit. The only similarity to a pizza here is the shape, and barely that. I'm privileged to live in a town that has just about any kind of pizza you can name, and have traveled a bit...had pizza in Naples about thirty years ago, and have been eating every pizza I can get my hands on for over forty years--and I make pizza from scratch. ***I've never seen crap like this being called pizza before*** I want some of what Mary Beth's been smoking...she's gotta be high to make a video like this and put it out where anyone can see it.
