proving again why I consider them one of the all time great rock bands of my era or any era for that matter.

Black Rose is TL's magnum opus. I have the DVD of this, and was really disheartened at TL's state. Heroin really did a number on Phil and Scott, mentally and physically. While I give props to Snowy for his ability and writing, he wasn't the man for the job. While this wasn't the Dominion theatre show, Scott was really out of his face on smack here! Wharton in my opinion didn't give another dimension to TL, but John Sykes did save the day in the end.

this was when Gary Moore disappeared and they got good ole Snowy White to step in.. then Midge Ure.. who learnt all the songs whilst getting on the plane over to the Lizzy gig.. so many unsung great guitar heroes..

Gary Moore was fantastic but was only in the band for very short stints though! Let's not forget about Scott Gorham!

Last night I saw Brian Downey, now 72 years old, play this in his band ‘Alive and Dangerous’. He didn’t miss a beat. Don’t forget the great man at the back, and the only one who appeared to stay clean. Phil and Scott look and performed pretty bad in this one.

What a shame.. :( If I could create such wonderful music through my Les Paul together with Scott Gorham... i would definetely love it.

Snowy is the guitarist on the left? He was doing his job; I've read accounts elsewhere that he was supremely disappointed in this "once brilliant band."

I don't think he was ever enthusiastic about playing in Thin Lizzy. Great player, nice guy but I don't think he was ever feeling it in this band.

I don’t think Scott and messing up belong in the same sentence
