You truly are an inspiration & I love that you’re striving to please Christ. One of the things I have done for the past 20 years is to refrain from wearing makeup. The scripture says, “You are fearfully and wonderfully made . Marvelous are thy works” God is the master artist & I don’t feel the need to boast against His craftsmanship by adding on color or fake eyelashes, etc. I have also saved so much money because of it. It helps me also better steward my body to reflect the true beauty that Christ has made. I try to ask God to help me to have “A meek & a quiet spirit.” This beauty is “Far above rubies “

Jacqueline!! Thank you for this video on what it means to be worthy of our Father's Kingdom! I have so many discussions with people I know about this particular subject and they tell me that "they are instructed to die to flesh each and every day" and Jesus knows we could never be perfect.....yet, Jesus Himself said for us to "Go and sin no more" and to be Holy like Him. He also said to "Be in this world but not of this world". Most people like to conform His teachinsg to their personal world view. I live on 4 acres with a small farmstead. I do not socialize or work outside of the home. He called me in 1986 to "Be in this world but not of this world" but I did not listen and lost my sons. I am listening now. I am listening. God bless you for heeding His call.

Good morning, Jacqueline- Thank you for sharing another beautiful video. I do believe we are living in the times where the LORD is tugging on the hearts of his people to forsake this passing world and its lust and focus our and our family's attention on treasures that will be stored up in heaven. He wants us to return to the days where it truly is all about HIM and the work he has for us gathering the harvest of souls and being prepared to meet HIM one day, for each of us that looks different but it's the being ready that is key.

Well,,,, had to pause right here lest I forget... or find other things to comment on and forget this comment. I take inventory of my gardens also, try to at the end of the day, then keep my clipboard not to far away to write things down not only things that I see need to be done, but also to write down what was fertilized, transplanted, or things I need to look up like when does this plant need to be fertilized etc. Our homestead and gardens are just too big and busy for this brain to keep track. I have a notebook that each garden has it place and name of each flower or most of the ones that need attention etc but for sure with the vegetable gardens so I can write down last time was fertilized and what was used. This is separate from my garden journal because I want it to be for fertilizing only and transplanting etc. Very valuable. Also that is one BIG Button bush. I love those things, they grow wild around here.

I want to dress like this but I am afraid my husband would not like it. How should I handle it? I also want to wear a head covering to church but again, I do not want to make my husband uncomfortable with it. He doesn’t understand this part of Christianity. He won’t teach me and has said as much. We don’t pray or read or do devotions together either. I need guidance and I don’t have it. We go to church on Sundays and we do a Wednesday night Bible study together with a group from our church. I am always looking for good teaching. Thanks for your channel.

Hey! I think you can show him a version of the clothing that is most flattering on you and get his opinion. Then, ask him how he can help you choose pieces that make you look beautiful. My husband suggested this style for me based on my admiration of how old-fashioned women used to dress. But he did ask me to quit relaxing my hair and grow it naturally instead. That was a huge challenge for me as it wasn't my desire to do so. I chose to see it as an opportunity to obey him...to see if my obedience has limitations, in a sense. Also, as a head covering woman myself, I follow exactly what the Bible prescribed: cover when praying (talking to God about people) & prophesying (talking to people about God) so if I know I won't be doing those things at the grocery store (or in church...as we are to be silent) , I refrain from wearing it. This way, I don't go past the scripture nor attach a legalistic requirement to it. So you can still obey your husband's desire for you without neglecting your own standard. I think it's wonderful that you are being considerate of his feelings, just as a wife ought to.

@@unimportanthomemaker thank you. I was sitting here watching yet another one of your videos and feeling as though I may have spoke ill of him or disrespectful. I thought on it and realized I am bitter toward him for not being more of a leader for me. I do everything for him that Gods word commands me to do. I am submissive and obediently, out of love for Christ, put myself under his authority. He is a good man to me. I do believe as women we are to be silent in the church. We do not attend any churches or gatherings where women teach corporately. Thanks for the suggestions. I will pray on it and see if this is a good way to go about it.

I’m happy to hear your heart. I struggled with the same thoughts that I do everything and he does the bare minimum of what I’m owed and it took some time for me to come to this conclusion: if I love God, then the little I do receive WILL be enough for me. After putting this “care” in the Lord’s hands, I felt free! And my husband began to do more of his duty to me and I began to feel cherished and loved. I’m rooting for you, my dear, because I believe your motives to be pure.

Question: is always wanting to be 'right' a form of pride? Asking for myself and a dear sister.
@unimportanthomemaker
3 ай бұрын
I'd say it's okay to want to be right. However, if you are actually wrong then it's pride & lying; if you will go nuts if you lose, then it's pride and sinful anger; and if you just want to keep the upper hand against someone in authority, it's pride, rebellion, & selfish ambition. My opinion, of course, but this is exactly how I examine my own motives. Because, after all, the Lord judges the thoughts & intentions of our hearts.

Ya know I think I really need to study what pride is according to God's ways and a deeper look into my own heart and my outlook and responses on things. I think this may be more profound than we give ear too and for sure a heart issue that seems to grow roots into many facets of our lives that we get immune too in our daily reactions or even how we view life around us, accepting and not being grieved by the sin and how in one way or the other affects us. If we turn our heads, is that also pride? If we get an attitude, isn't that pride? Just thinking...❤

I had never thought, to not act like an adult, as something I am called to as a believer and followed of Yeshua. Very thought provoking. The Spirit has stripped many things of this world out of me slowly over time: all forms of entertainment, my career, immodesty, addictions, the spirit of rebellion, and selfishness. He continues to show me daily the parts of the old man that I continue to cling to but in His mercy and grace He continues to chip away the undesirable parts, allowing me greater knowledge/experience of His love, His presence and His ways.

New to your channel, it's lovely. I really resonated with come as a child to God. How comforting to live life this way. Ty.
