Brother, even if your channel does grow beyond your expectations, I challenge and implore you to keep this honest approach in your endeavours. I only found you just this evening, but I really appreciate this minimally edited and sincere approach. I almost never comment on public platforms. Keep doing what you're doing. Thank you.

Thank you. I never expected to be doing this a few months back. It was only from the gracious kind comments from viewers that I discovered that I may have something to contribute other than making just simple music performance videos. The inspiration to press forward in my journey is solely from people like you. I have been blessed with the opportunity to share my struggles and found much strength in doing so. You can rest assured that I will not change. I feel like I found my calling and will do everything I can to honor and be true to it. Much love and respect!

Subbed a couple weeks ago cause a friend found you and said I should watch. Glad I did. Don't mind the haters. There's always a few of them. I suspect you will learn to laugh at them. You're a musician. You're allowed to own good instruments because you're actually making music with them, not like some 50s strat that's a decoration on someones wall. It's not a flex unless you mean it to be a flex. Haters gonna hate. Keep it real. That means a lot to people in our fake, superficial times.

Thank you. That means a lot to me really. I have some interesting things coming for sure. Since I started KZitem the world has been opening up to me in ways I never imagined. Yesterday I found my way into the Japanese alternative/experimental music scene and made many connections, all thanks to a subscriber who reached out and invited me to an event a few cities away. I have several gigs lined up once I'm ready for them. A video about that day and interviews I did with artist who performed are to come after I do another performance vid.

Thanks again for opening yourself and show vulnerability and honesty as a contrast to many shiny others. FWIW I also love to explore gear, not just/mainly to collect, but rather understand, get inspired and see if it benefits the personal style. These days always torn between DAW, which offers great possibilities and endless options with very nice sound - and hardware synths, may it be analog, digital or hybrid. Explore devices, workflows, setups, sounds. And yes, all that stuff is not neccessarily needed. When I started with mainly only a JV-1080 and a Quadraverb in mid 90s also great personal songs and snippets came out. Greetings, Sascha ✌🏼

Thanks for the comment. I remember the JV-1080 and Quadraverb. That takes me back. Much simpler days.

My friend, I see you and in a way I see myself a little reflected. I know it's not the same case but at some point I know there are coincidences, but I came to the conclusion that I want to do this just for myself and who likes it well. But I realize that I end up looking at how it affects the audience. I want to get to the point where I don't care about anything other than what I really feel.

It is a daily battle for me. The real test will be when I actually do this in front of a live audience. That's why I want to start with a small gig where the audience knows kinda what to expect. Still scary as hell putting yourself out there like that.

I appreciate your experience and honesty. Tbh we’re all gear heads here. You may have all the stuff but someone has to! If you were a yachter it would be waaay more expensive! I have a lot of music gear as well. I have a daw set up and a dawless set up. I much prefer my dawless set up although I get better results as far as composition and mixing on a daw. However, sitting in front a screen for too long makes me uncomfortable. But they both serve a purpose. Please keep on and don’t feel guilty- God has blessed you. You’re not wasting your life wishing it away but present in the moment- which is what music is.

Thanks so much. I have gotten so much support from you all it warms my heart. I just want to pass along that energy and hopefully inspire others to take a leap of faith in themselves. Like you said life is short and there is no time to waste.

I saw a comment on one of your videos about ambient music and I’ve been thinking about it a lot. It was a disparaging take on ambient music and how no one likes it. That’s not true. There is so many examples of an audience from studying, late night gatherings, sound tracks, driving etc
@SoulSearchingGaijin

Yeah I thought that was very disrespectful in so many ways but to each his or her own. I don't have time for that kind of energy in my life nor do I wish to fight it. Negativity begets negativity. There is too much love in this heart to let that get me down.

Yeeees! Super happy I found your channel, it's so refreshing to see and hear some honesty and purity here, as opposed to the retroactive, oversimplified explanations that omit any lived experience of the creative journey. There's an alabaster deplume piece called 'I will not be safe' - this video really brought that to mind for me and I would highly recommend a listen for anyone who found resonance in this. Thanks again for the vulnerability, it takes strength to be open and true like that - that might be what's driving those big waves of emotion pushing through you, just know that those waves move outward through the channel and give strength to others. For sure nothing will resonate with everyone, but for sure I feel more belief in myself after watching. Reading other comments makes it clear that there's a community of people who appreciate you. Love this stuff! Purity beats pandering any day I'll be putting out something when I get back home in a week or so. I've been stalling, mustering the courage to stand by the music I create - genuinely you have made me think differently about that. That's awesome man. Thank you.

yeah big audience are not listening great music nowadays in my opinion. Just looking at the charts it is just buisness model and drama. No wonder why people say the music was better before... Thanks for the insight my friend, you are right to proritize music for yourself, the internet is becoming too obscur nowadays and reaching people is out of control if you cant invest ton of money in your buisness model AND you dont want to be part of their great plan...

I am completely against most of modern society and their indoctrinated view points. It seems the people have lost the ability to think for themselves. I have always gone left when everyone goes right. I don't think will ever change. Good to hear from you as always. All the best!

Regarding the 404mk2, i couldnt use the app, itd crash sending samples. I found that certain usb ports were causing issues. Have also had issues in the past with certain USB cables particularly new C type ones, the quality varies wildly.. sometimes cheap ones are better than expensive ones, seems like a total crapshoot.

I sorry to hear that. I haven't had that issue with the SP. I did try different ports and used the supplied cable for the digitakt but still the same issue. It sucks when something so useful on a machine gives you issues. None the less I can't let this stop me. In the end todays gear is much more functional than the gear of the past even if there are a few bumps along the way.

Thanks for the comment. I am doing my best to learn the game a bit more and view it differently. I spent to much of my life silently hating myself and others. Those days are over. With each day I spend doing what I love I get stronger and more peaceful. KZitem has been a blessing. The support from the community is amazing. Thank you!

@@SoulSearchingGaijin I used to worry what other ppl thought of me. I've since surrounded myself with ppl who don't gaslight me but actually celebrate my strengths. That helped completely change the way I perceive myself, and set me on track to not take stock in outside negativity (which is not equal to constructive criticism.)
