Actually you must set up your tent out of sight of any house when you camp on another person's property and you are only allowed to camp for one night and then move on.

Nja, you can't put up a tent outside your neighbors, ONE of the rules of allemansrätten is that you can't camp "if the owners see you from there house"... Or something like that.

Right, you have to be out of visibility.

True out of sight is the rule and only for 1 to 3 days, unless the owner gives you permission to stay longer. Here's more information www.naturvardsverket.se/globalassets/media/publikationer-pdf/1300/978-91-620-1304-2.pdf

Yes. As others mention, Allemänsrätten does not allow you to camp in someone’s garden or in site of the house. You must also not disturb any farmer’s crops. You must’t light a campfire on bedrock. There are rules. The good thing is, people respect this.

Saw your channel just a while back and i really enjoy your content. It makes me realise how blessed we are who live in Sweden with all the things that we take for granted but we should be more appreciative of than we normally are. Cheers from Eksjö!

In Norway if you are hospitalized everything is free, even the board and lodging. I have never needed to pay anything when checking out of the hospital. There is a room where patients can take the food they want and heat it in the microwave If you are too sick to pick up your food, the nurse will get it for you. Of course, when you compare countries as to what is included in health the details care vary from country to country, but the overall coverage is about the same in most countries in Europe a.

Allemansrätten is based on ancient right-to-travel laws, it gives you the right to travel (by foot, motorized vehicles are not covered by this, even though snowmobiles might be used, with caution, winter time) and forage the land for edibles (but not hunt or fish without permits). Strictly speaking, you are not supposed to stay anywhere longer than 24h, like others point out you need to stay out of sight from permanent dwellings and you are very much liable for damages, if you cause any. The latter is a common problem as people don't realise this and think they can do anything they want, even in cultivated land such as fields or orchards. "Do not destroy - Do not disturb" pretty much sums it up. And even with those restrictions, you still have about ´~90% of sweden remaining to enjoy...

You’re a very special little boy, aren’t you? Why not try to not be small, petty and insecure. Instead, try to be brave, empathetic and …well…nice.

When my mum grew up, they left their houses unlocked, keys in cars. As time's gone on this has stopped. Break in's are now a common occurrence and the same culture is now disappearing. If it's considered not "empathetic" to not want him here, I guess I'm fine with that. @@jte5783
