Honestly, since striving to regain my childhood sense of wonder again, life has gotten so much better. I feel lighter, the world seems more colorful, and everything around me feels magical. Don't worry about what others think, talk to that tree, feel every plant you pass, stop to admire the beautiful details and textures of rocks. TAKE TIME to focus on the wonder of nature and how it keeps us alive. This world is amazing, life is amazing, and we're only here for a short time. Enjoy it with the wonder of a child, even if it takes you a long time to unlock it again. It's within all of us, most of us have only just forgotten.

This almost makes me want to cry. It makes me feel sad, regretful and a little jealous that I couldn't have this but at the same time... I'm so glad to see this little girl living the dream. She gets to have everything I wish I could have gotten, and that makes me happy. Keep doing what you do, sir. Keep being a good father to her. You're making lifelong memories for the both of you... every minute, every cent that goes into these adventures is 110% worth it. I bet that 20, 30, 40 years from now on there will be things you'll look back at, and regret... this won't be one of them. Spending fun, quality time with your little one will never be one of those things you'll wish you did less of.

I didn't realize how much hurt I had in missing out on parental connections until I had my own kid. I think I kind of ignored it because it just hurt too much to think about. Then I had my daughter and every time I realized "damn. I really deserved to have someone do this for me as a kid," it would also come with a little healing that I was able to break the cycle and give my kid what I needed. Parenthood opened a lot of wounds, but it also healed just as many. I'm so proud of these new generations overcoming their trauma and breaking cycles.
