These grandmothers have the wisdom to do what is right for life on earth. We can no longer tolerate the financial and foolish politicians and elites to run this ship! Our world is headed for destruction if they continue to prioritize their views and aims. Please help us pacha mama! The few insane are causing suffering for majority-- help us to regain our bearings toward a future that supports all life on earth. Living and thriving in harmony and mutual respect. Life is sacred - has no price, not cheap❤😢

Voices of mothers, grandmothers , nurturers of children, care-takers of the earth - talking in simple words - of food, of a river, of planting, of the goings on in a typical family day. Nowhere did we hear of money, of higher education, of new cars. Nothing but the most vital and basic ingredients for life - good food! clean water! caring for children, animals, men. Who weep over the suffering of any child. I am listening to voices shaking with age, strong with age, saying things so ordinary, like women talking, as we do, and I cannot stop listening. Where are the soft-bosomed mothers of yesterday? all the energy has gone from the heart and up into the head. As long as there are earth-mothers there will be healthy ground to stand on. There are a few still with us, in villages and pueblos of the world. Thank you for sharing this video that I can watch and listen to, and feel the Faith, at any time. Peace and blessings to every one of us, and courage.

This is awesome. My kiju went to spirit World 2012 . Ever since I regret i didnt ask her more. I took for granted, & believed she wouldnt ever be gone. She raised me, Im greatful, bec i speak our language fluently. Now I try to record and share as much Mikmaq as I can possibly speak. Immersion teaches it in school but they also need to hear it at home, with friends. And my dream more on their phones & computers. You dont have to be teacher in classroom to pass the Language down. Thankyou beautiful knowledge heart keepers for sharing what you know and helping our hearts to see our human selves who walk upon this earth. For helping to see it is the simple everyday interactions that help us to slow down enough to be able to live the truths of how live with Mother Earth, Grandfather Sun, our brothers and sisters who support us with water, food and the things that we need to be in this life is with each other. I love you for the path you all have chosen to walk and sharing your gifts of story with us. So many of us needed this loving instruction. Thieves attempted to destroy your knowledge, they prohibited ALL of us from learning of it, from benefitting of the knowledge. I really missed this, and always knew 'things were not right'. I never fit in with my forever revolving family. They couldn't understand that I saw things differently, and they still do not have the ability to think deeply.

I’m having trouble with all the sadness in my heart for continued acts of destruction, aggression and control of the Native American peoples and any solution I’m learning over the years is masked in the further control and manipulation of the future generations as was done to the descendants of the African slaves. There is no winning the corporate American government . I feel resigned to say we can only do our best and accept that only our maker ( for me hakadosh Baruch hu) will deal with them based on universal laws of balance - you get what you give- but natural res sources are limited and our maker has allowed us free will and that same universal law can’t help us other than inspiration and the intellectual capacity to possible artificially create a substitute but clearly our government doesn’t care but I know we care . We don’t want our future generations to be without trees, natural water etc. may G-d bless us with solutions and barriers to anyone who doesn’t have omthe best interest of all

The federal government did a horrible thing by requiring schools to prohibit natives from speaking their own language. People have the right to choose how they educate others, and if a school wants to allow students to speak their language to one another, then that school should be allowed to do that. But, it is ironic that the second grandmother prohibited her grandchildren from using English when referring to her.
