Coming up an interview with a certified finalist for the heavyweight title of the greatest rock singer in history on a classic rock staple. Paul Rodgers has fronted several rock bands including Free, Bad Company, the Firm, and The Law. Today he tells us the story behind the 70s hard rock hit Feel Like Makin’ Love when he was with Bad Company. Which may be the greatest rock song ever written about about Coitus. He is the only rock singer to have a top ten hit with four different rock and roll bands and that’s not even counting the legendary band he fronted for half a decade, Queen. He fronted Queen many years after their own legendary singer Freddie Mercury passed away and the reason he stepped into his shoes was because this deceased singer may’ve spoken to him from the grave. The story and interview is next on Professor of Rock.

So it’s time for another edition of our show Revelations where artist give us exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences about their biggest songs and album. Insight you won’t find anywhere else. Today I’m excited to show you our sit-down interview with the man who is always in the conversation for the greatest rock singer ever. He’s a legend's legend that we’ve had on the show several times Mr. Paul Rodgers.
Paul Rodgers who is the only rock singer to have a #1 hit with four different bands From Free to Bad Company to The Firm to the Law and then he Stepped in to front Queen for half a decade in the 2000s Today Paul will tell us all about it. When he was contemplating joining Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen. He had an experience where Freddie Mercury spoke to him from the grave, he’ll share that story next. He’ll also share the story of his classic 70s rocker Feel Like Making Love which for my money is the greatest rock song ever created about the first culprit in the term: sex, drugs, and rock and roll. Bad Company drummer Simon Kirk shared in an interview that it was actually 2 different songs that were combined to create the classic song. He said
"'Feel Like Making Love' came out of two songs. I'm not sure of the order, but guitarist Mick Ralphs had the original D to G, D to G, little country song’ And then Paul had a song which just had the RIFF And I said, 'Well, why don't you combine the two so that you have the chorus as that heavy riff and then the verse is Mick's verse.’ But the original song came out of two different ideas.” Then years after Paul Rodgers wrote the song, he played it to Bad Company guitarist Mick Ralphs, who came up with some big chords for the chorus.
Then Mick Ralph would say "I came up with the riff, and I suggested we put the two together to create a song. I think that's the feel of the song...”
