I've always wondered if those who think a "blingy" watch like this is "tacky" are really deep-down simply jealous that they can't, and will never be able to, afford it. Personally, I'll never be able to afford one, but think it's both a gorgeous and incredible timepiece. To me, "tacky" is something trying to be something it isn't - like a "pleather" jacket.

I should be able to afford it in about 10-15 years, but I still think it's horribly flashy. I come from a family of jewelers, though, so diamonds and precious metals don't impress me in the slightest. My favorite watch right now is the Grand Seiko Snowflake.

Watching this wearing a 64mm Invicta reserve diamond tourbillon mechanical automatic LOL Seriously, for the price of this you could buy 600 of those Invictas, - that's roughly 960 total carats worth of diamonds and another 8200 total oz of various metals. The markup on this Breguet boggles the mind. Except it isn't all markup. Twin tourbillons are EXTREMELY rare, and one that rotates like this requires incredibly complicated engineering, design and the highest precision manufacturing and hand assembly. Then you have to source 30 carats worth of diamond for each watch - that's much harder than getting 1-2 carats in smaller stone sizes. Finally it's the exclusivity. Pieces like these aren't manufactured in the thousands or even the hundreds - maybe a FEW DOZEN get ever built in total, just because of the man hours and materials required to put it together. So the knowledge that you and maybe 25 other people on the planet will ever have this makes it kind of a big deal. Granted, I am utterly mesmerized by how tourbillons work and the mechanics that go into them. They are definitely halo pieces for the enthusiast/collector. At least with Invicta you don't have to be a millionaire to own a really nice watch collection. Enjoyed the video!
@martinjn2920

I am not a fan on having diamonds on any of my watches so having 30 carats of sparkle on my wrist would be just bonkers, I fail to see the point of a single tourbillon let alone a dual tourbillon, as for the precious metal case, well that is just OTT. But on this watch it all just seems to work, it is just a magnificent piece of watchmaking, I could sit for days looking at that dial slowly moving round and never get bored. A stunning, stunning, stunning, totally over the top, glitzy beyond belief timepiece, and beautifully filmed and narrated. Thank you.
