Yeah, this would be easier to do in blender. You could match the cg with the footage better since you can actually see what you are compositing it on to. You could also get the footage in unreal engine but it requires even more steps because as great as ue5 is there are some strange workarounds that you have to do for some simple tasks.

El resultado no es bueno . Se nota mucho que están puestos esos objetos. Creo que After con Unreal no es la mejor opción. Además en ese caso quedaría más creíble haber hecho el environment directamente en Unreal

To step-up the video reference for placing objects in the scene you can add the source footage as a post-process material in the volume's details and fade it over the top of the scene in your editor with transparency control to get a better idea of the objects scale etc or for more accurate match-moves. You might even be able to input the full clip as an image sequence so it plays frame-by-frame in the sequencer, not sure. Can also make a mock-landscape mesh based on those reference planes and then camera project a frame of the video footage onto it for better occlusion, contact shadows, a shadow-capture material, reflect the ground colour up to the underside of the objects, and again for better match-moving

Cool video but why all this hassle if you can just add your objects in after effects with element 3d (after tracking), and add the correct textures (if needed) and then finish it off with supercomp?

Because Element 3d isn't free. I use it, but a lot of people wouldn't pay for it. Its kinda outdated now

So... Let's assume I don't have $3600 plus tax to put into a laptop and want to upgrade my own. What are the minimum specs recommended for this kind of work? Core information with processor name, graphics card, ram, etc.
@Jsitez

You don’t want to invest minimum specs… work with what you have … also rent(if you have too) … until you can buy what you want 💯 From personal experience … also a personal opinion . This isn’t the only way lol.

I had a laptop with 32GB RAM, an i7 processor, and a GTX GPU, and Unreal worked pretty decent on it. Even the technique he showed in the video worked fine for me (I tried it ages ago). So, just go ahead and dive into Unreal Engine with the specs you've got right now. See how it rolls, Worst thing that could happen is a crash, but, just give it a shot and see what happens!

you can make a pretty good pc for these types of workloads for about 1000$, with an i5 12400f or ryzen 5 5600, a 3060 12gb and 32gb of ram. The rest is more or less up to your budget

Thanks for the cool lesson! Please do a lesson on how to upload the source video on which the camera tracking was done to the program in unreal engine just as a preview for convenience, because seeing the filmed material (for example, a girl shot on a green screen) it will be easier to place a cg environment

I had the same problem. I tried rolling back versions but eventually figured out that the camera data is there but the keyframes are from 0 whereas my timeline area was set to the frame number of the footage that I was working from. So I just rolled back my footage to line up with frame 0 and everything worked great. Hope that helps 😄
