I live in Tokyo and found out their only retail store is close to home. Told them about you and one of the ladies was already following you. Really nice experience, thanks for the rec and have fun out there

Also using the Finetrack L1 T on the AT this summer. Been super impressed with it and their Polygon jacket. Tried the Brynje Poly Mesh T-shirt but got too hot. I think the Brynje Mesh shines best in colder weather. Happy trails!

Thanks for the information. I went on their site and checked them out. I am ordering a set of L1 and L2 since I hike long sections of the AT often. Take care

Japanese sizing has always been a huge red flag for me. I'm 6'3 & 200lbs. I outgrew Japanese sizing when I was 13. Finetrack XXL is smaller than most others Large. I wear XL, so Finetrack would need to make a XXXXL to fit me, silly!

Definitely gonna check this out! I feel the same way about the jolly gear too. Favorite sun hoody by far, but it feels a little hot on the AT in the summer months and some of the "moisture wicking" shirts out there are pretty ok

Checked out their sizing guide and the XL chest @103cm equates to only 40ish inches. Won’t quite fit and they don’t seem to offer an XXL. Looks like a great shirt though.

Nice trick! thanks! May I ask you a thing about those spaghetti with eggs? it's the first time I've seen such a dish transported in a ziplock. Did you cold soak them directly in the ziplock or you cooked them and then waited for them to cool off before putting them in the ziplock? Thanks a lot, and have a great hike!

You´d bring this over the Jollygear if you ever decide to hike in Scandinavia, unless you´re supper lucky with the weather.

String/Norse net base layers do a similar thing along the strings but let vapor through the open spaces. But when you get cold and put a wind breaking layer on the open spaces become trapped air pockets making it warm. In hot/wet conditions you look like you’re going clubbing on the trial but it works. Wiggies and Brynja sell in the US

good to know but doesn;t seem to come large enough to fit me. I am hiking almost always on PNW coast, half the year is drizzle and fairly high humidity too, always soaked in sweat and or rain. Usually just used lyrca-like cycling jerseys but they get stinky if doing more than a couple days. I cannot stand merino/alpaca other than in camp.

I'm curious about the long term durability and odor retention of these shirts. Typically polyester can retain odor causing oils longer, even after multiple washings. Any insights on that? How does the L2 shirt feel on its own without the L1?

Durability is fine, wore the l1 for 60 days in NZ and now almost a month on the AT and it still looks new. Smell I dunno everyone smells awful on the AT

Just keep the Hostels from using fabric softener and random bleach... Wash your own clothes...
