This weekend of fishing started out with Lacey and I pedaling around graveline Bayou. We originally had plans to launch from the beach as we had a calm north wind keeping the beach flat but were unable to do to the amount of grass in the water. The redfish were running the grass lines due to high tide and the trout were being found in the 4 to 5 foot flats with cover close by. Trolling seemed to be the key in targeting the location of the trout. Sunday morning was a different story. We had rain systems moving in and we push our luck launching at the bayou boat ramp before daylight. Luckily the rain only lasted about a half hour and then the bite turned on! Birds were diving on bait as the trout were pushing the bait to the surface. It was nonstop action until the sun finally came out from behind the clouds which turned the bite off like a light switch.
Негізгі бет THIS bayou was on FIRE!
