However an ethanol/water azeotrope say 95% EtOH and 5% H2O is not denatured. That would be 190 proof. 200 proof is available and expensive. I’ve used it in the lab to make an indicator for a specific chloride determination. Methanol is the primary denaturant for ethanol. It is toxic and distillation will not remove methanol from ethanol. Also to those that have a swimming pool? Get dawn dish soap deluted and if your pool has a lot of small particles, squeeze the container so the liquid goes in the center of the pool. The soap will push everything to the sides and make it easier to skim. Also do the same when vacuuming. The soap magnifies the water so you can see the bottom better. Example, if you get a quarter and throw it in the pool no matter where deep or shallow you won't be able to see it or make out what it is. After the soap, BAM!!! You're welcome. You can make a trigger spray cleaner with a plain old spray bottle and any dish soap, with or without alcohol. If you use a regular spray bottle such as what Windex comes in, or an empty bottle you buy for the garden, it won't foam up. Make it strong for dishes and a looooooot weaker for overall spray and wipe cleaning anywhere in the house. You can also use the recipe he showed and put it in a foaming soap dispenser, the kind with the wide neck which will aerate the mixture the same as the dawn spray bottle and make it foamy, and pump it out onto your sponge. PS suds and foam do help disperse product but really have no impact on cleaning, it is added ingredients (or overuse of product) that makes everything more complicated chemically. If you have allergies that important to know...but for many people, lather is pleasant and that's why those ingredients are added. If lather did assist in cleaning then we would have found a way to accomodate bubbles in machines like laundry washers, dishwashers, and carpet shampooers. As it is they foam over and flood your house so they leave those things out and the machines still work.

All that to say I have had a spray bottle with strong soapy water at my sink for a very very long time. It's great for coating things that need to soak or quick washing a couple items at a time. When I have a sinkful...I run the plugged basin and use full strength dish soap then rinse.

I've been doing that for years, but I dont add alcohol. Just fill up a spray bottle that I bought specifically for this, fill it with warm water and squeeze a bit of dish soap into it. Shake it gently a couple of times and done. I pre spray my dishes and it loosens up all the gunk before I go ahead with the dish sponge. These companies only sell you these separate bottles of watered down soap, nothing more.

I use 1 part hand soap, 2 parts water. (Don't use alcohol----just the liquid hand soap and water.) Put the water in first or it will bubble up over the top of the container. (Also mixes better if you will use warm water.) I bought one of the little pump bottles that causes the soap to foam (it contained the foaming soap) and just use that over and over. Works great. (I use a quart size container [or one of the empty refill soap bottles] to mix it in, instead of trying to mix it in the small foaming pump bottle each time.)

Basically it is the HANDLE MECHANISM that makes it foam. I do this with foam face wash. Was paying double for a bottle of foam face wash over just regular face wash, even the same brand!!!. So I buy the regular, pour 2/3 into the empty foam wash container, fill the last 1/3 with water....and ...voila!!! A full foam face wash.....cheaper...and still have some left over for the next batch.
