Dude, you hit a new tier of vlog with this one. No lie. It was 17 min and it breezed by! Felt like I was in the moment with you and a part of your thought process. Those small moments shared more of yourself, like the Paul the billionaire part 😂 Interview with available light looked great. Traveling and filming, living the dream.

7:07 That's actually a really wise move. As a general rule, I am opposed to overshooting an event, because editors typically aren't a fan of going through a bunch of unnecessary footage. That being said, given the circumstances in which you found yourself, I think you made the right call. I'll take that into consideration if I ever find myself in a similar spot. Great video!

BTW that PD tripod is worth every penny. I've taken those to Africa, South America, and Europe and they've been rock-solid.

Tuck the Lav wire under the belt clip of the DJI transmitter. Look closely and you will see where the cable goes. Should make a loop so that you don’t need locking Lav. Hope that makes sense.

So I haven't even finished your video yet, and I paused on your Foam Apple Box moment. Not ideal for travel, but I have one and I know quite a few AC's that work on professional sets that use them. They're GREAT for placing your camera on something other than the ground, as well as giving you some support when your shooting on location and have to get low, or just give you a step up like a regular apple box. They're also lightweight obviously, but yeah I'll finish your video now, but I will always back up a foam apple box lol.

@@lensofjared Looked it up because I hate giving bad info. "The latest information circulating online suggests that prototypes of the Sony FX6 Mark II are currently being tested, with an official announcement expected in the fourth quarter of 2024, provided all goes according to plan." I hope you come to my neck of the woods someday for a meetup or something :) keep doing you my friend.

Rode Wireless Pro's are calling for you!, locking 3.5mm hehe... jokes aside, ive been using the Rode Wireless Pro and I've had such a breeze working with them, transferring 32 bit float is so easy u can just plug it into the case and it connects it all. Great vlog been loving it!, watching from Houston, hope to see you sometime soon!

I recommend one of the knock off peak design travel tripods. I use the ulanzi one and it’s carbon fiber but almost half the price. Recently saw a wedding KZitemr say they use multiple of the neewer version for ceremonies. They’re not great for heavy rigs but given the size there’s no reason you can never leave home without it

I know it's a bit pricey, but you should seriously consider one of the F21C/F22Cs you were eyeing. I usually run a 200x with a softbox and grid for a quick interview key light, but I recently picked up an F22C and it has been an absolute game changer. The only part that sucks is that it doesn't come with the clamp that holds the ballast, but that's a small sacrifice when it comes with that much portability. Keep up the great work, brother!

It''s hard to not over pack with equipment especially when you don't know what you're walking in to. If I have to second guess the item then my rule of thumb is I really don't need it. 😅
