Hi Chris, it takes more strength of character to make difficult decisions than to hang in there sometimes. Good call. I liked the video anyway. I look forward to your next adventure. Graham and Tim 😊 🐕

Thanks Graham. It was for the best. I ended up having an extremely busy work week so coming back to work on monday at lunchtime was probably not going to be a good idea anyway. Next adventures will have lilly at my parents house. she is a better warm weather beach camper :D

The side doors are a pain when that happens, on the driver's door control switch there's a button to lock/ unlock the other door locks rock it a few times and your side door will open 😉

Thanks for your great vids Chris, even this one. Had to make a comment here as a lot of people miss understand some temporary permanent travellers/campers. I have lived in some of the best suburbs of Melbourne with great lifestyle and income from hard work. Also lived in Byron Bay Shire for many years running my own business, but due to accident and failing health, I could not work much and rents kept going up even well before COVID pressure on rents and floods making finding something below $600 pw impossible. So I was lucky I had a driver's licence and bought small Toyota Townace I converted into a mobile single bed with fridge and some storage (similar to your van, but bit smaller). I am now travelling (currently in Port Douglas area) and living full time out of my van, and have been now for over a year (did have a big store shed also). Spare a thought for the thousands of hard working Aussies who might have been affected by the fires, floods, bad physical or mental health, or whatever other reason they might be out of luck. Even Try to muster up some Real Sense of Character, and go and talk to these people who also has a story to tell and show some empathy and kind humanity. In saying all that, I hopefully will be lucky enough to one day have a 4 x 4 Delics similar to yours to take me further into the Australian wilderness.

Hey Pete, well said! I actually also aspire to get a bigger van and maybe move into it full time. Maybe in the next couple of years. I might have explained that while I did have a brief chat to a couple of the guys (who owned multiple 4 wheel drives, a caravan, a bus and a couple of boats between them) There just seemed like they had a bit of a dodgy vibe about them. I have met plenty of full time travelers on the road, and plenty of part time travelers too, both friendly and dodgy (99% friendly). I should not have generalized and implied that because they were full time residents that they were dodgy. That was wrong and definitely not what I want to put out there. In some cases I just get a vibe from people and either feel welcomed or not. In this case I felt like I was staying on someone else's property. Also they were pretty drunk and noisy at night and had a lot of junk all over the place. It was the vibe of the thing.... I've never felt it bad enough to leave a place before, although the door was the last straw, I probably would have stayed otherwise and felt better about it when my mate got there later that day. I hope you are able to get your van soon! Look out for chassis rust though. that's big in these vans
