The true church of God is in the human flesh: if then the church of God is in the human flesh, and Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is To visit the fatherless and widows in their afflictions and to keep oneself unspotted from the world, James 1:27; Then, why is they saying the outside building is called church, and many run to it, and not God in JesusChrist? John 14:15, God told us through JesusChrist, If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16, And I will pray the Father, and He shall/will give you another comforter, that he may abide with you forever. 17, Even the Spirit of Truth; whom the world cannot receive because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I'm a 59 year old black woman and sadly, I find that in a lot of black " churches", there is Biblical illiteracy. They focus more on the singing and music but there is little, to no actual Bible study. That is why I appreciate a pastor like Dr.Tony Evans ; he is a TEACHER. I attend a church in the Philadelphia area and the pastor is also a Bible teacher. We study the Bible cover to cover, chapter by chapter and verse by verse. I'm alarmed at how many black people claim to be Christians but when I engage them in an in-depth conversation about the Bible, they give me a blank stare because they have no clue as to what I'm talking about.😮 Not only is it sad, but these so-called " pastors" will answer to God for failing to properly teach their congregations. Ignorance not only makes you a target of the enemy but if you are not truly redeemed, you'll miss heaven and that is the biggest tragedy of all.

That's a discipleship opportunity. We who are biblically literate should truly be on mission to help other believers understand how to read and study the Scriptures. One believer at a time. Too often, we look poorly upon this without participating in building the body given this dire need in the Church. And it's not just black churches.

@@KanitaRutley I agree with you. That is why I take the knowledge that I learned from studying under my pastor for the past 29 years and I use every opportunity to tell people the truth of Christ. I've had medical issues my entire life, have been on dialysis for the past 26 years and in 2016, suffered a catastrophic medical crisis that left me in a coma for 3 days. I have always had a passion and urgency to tell people the truth of Christ's saving grace. A childhood friend that was a Christian, sent me some Gospel cartoon books, that tells Bible events in an easy to understand format. I order these books every month and on the back covers, I'll refer the reader to a church or other Biblical resource that is solid and in line with scripture. I've lived in 2 retirement homes and I make it a point of keeping a basket filled with these Gospel books, down in the lobby and the residents tell me how much they love and appreciate them. I hand them out everywhere I go. My original desire was to do missionary work overseas but because of my medical condition, I could not travel. My pastor told me, that everyone who crosses your path, is a mission field. My background was in Marketing, so I look for creative ways to present the Gospel and it's been so much fun. I love "being about the Father's business". ✝️😄 And HE has used me in ways that really blows my mind.

Great topic. I recently told my wife that Christians have more allegiance to culture than Christianity. I have lived in Asia, Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and throughout the USA and the dominant culture has always stood out. We have to ask ourselves "why are churches so segregated in America if we all believe in the same Jesus Christ and the same Bible?" Because we put our race and culture ahead of Christianity and the only way that I will accept you is if you assimilate into my culture. So we continue to remain separated. We have even accepted the separation as "normal". Ephesians 4:4-6 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. My brother, I come in peace, just talking with you cause I understand, cause I was gang, gang too, but when the police separated me from my X family, that I grew up with, I was gon for 6 years, and I got a relationship with God, Almighty God in JesusChrist, and He is not what the world shows us, no, not at all. When older people used to ask me, do I know JesusChrist as my personal Saviour, I didn't, and struggled to. But when I went to jail (and I wish this on no body!!!!!!!), I got bored, I picked up my Bible to waste time, it kept me in it; God knew what He was doing, I didn't, but God began to use JesusChrist to tell me everything real quick, like quick understanding, I don't know if you read yo Bible, but, Isaiah 11, God talks about bringing His Son to quick understanding, so for some reason, I thought of myself; But at the whole time, not knowing that God spoke to me about the world I was living in, about the building worships that I was attending: JesusChrist was really personal with me, it's really between you and Him. But God wants me to go out, and if I meet some brothers that want to do God's Will through JesusChrist, don't forsake the gathering of yourselves together, tell them about me, whether it's the pastor, his wife, his bishop, they don't know God like you, tell them they need to repent too! They following Christianity which is not in the Bible, but some man, probably one of those slave owners made it up. I'm not gon follow that, I ll tellem to repent, but they still hanging brothers like me, I will never trust them!! They'll turn yo own kind against you, but regardless of what situation I'm in, I'm in to tell the truth about God; my brothers don't know, my family don't know..... But God is our help, our hope, out truth, our righteousness, our peace, our wisdom, our knowledge, our history, our King, our Saviour, our deliverer, our way maker, our strength, our whole life bro! You started, you close already, just letting go of things that's of this world, give to the poor, when you in JesusChrist, cause he shows you God, He is the image, the likeness of God, He will lead you and guide you and give you a gift that a false church building pastor or none of their congregation don't have, and he will tell you great things you don't know, if you let his spirit guide you. Beware of false prophets, false preachers, false teachers, and false pastors, and be strong in the Lord JesusChrist.

Too much entertainment, insufficient sound doctrine 3. Too much charismatic theology which steers me away and have me questioning my faith and salvation. This "name it and clain it" crap has led folks to nothing but catastrophic disappointments. 4. Too much skin color worship.

There was a kind older woman in a church I used to go to who said she caught pastors discussing the names of people who they would “prophesy over”. Now apparently these people didn’t know that they would be passing the names of the congregation to the pastor and he’s selected it randomly. Big parlor trick. It’s a sad thing and she seemed heartbroken from it.

Many seek churches that affirm their identity group rather than conform themselves to the image of Christ. I've seen this in many forms and it is wrong. We ar to be conformed to Christ's image. That is the goddess and it's been around for thousands of years. We're just seeing what the culmination of it is in our lifetimes because everybody is so connected, which makes the influence of this spirit more pronounced. Different cultures give it different names, but it's the same spirit. We're right at the doorstep of the end times.

I am blessed to share the region of Dallas Fort Worth with the great brother Corey, truly am. God has called him to teach. In my opinion, we need it. I don't agree so much with his stance on racial issues, but I agree with his stance on our community perpetuating the stereotypes. The children out of wedlock, no moral conscience whatsoever, this music. The overall lifestyle of these people today, it's sad. But, look at the shape the church is in. The church isn't teaching Sound Doctrine and deliverance, they're making these people comfortable in these lifestyles, so how can the world get right. And let me say this, ANY PASTOR, IN A FRATERNITY OR SORORITY DEFINITELY AIN'T OPERATING UNDER THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD. YOU CANNOT BE APART OF THE DEVINE 9 ORGS, AND MAKE INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. Another thing, we have to also hold our white counterparts accountable too. It can't just be black people shaking their finger at each other while we excuse bigotry and W/S. All in all, great word. @@wanjieriblackman6761 It's easy to critique MLK's theology from a position that benefited from his sacrifice. Our fidelity to Christ is first, ALWAYS. I just believe the audacity we have to dissect the theology of a leader who has been deceased for 50 years, who lived in a context we don't have to, who studied at a liberal theological seminary not having been admitted into predominately white seminaries who would have had "right theology" but weren't practicing it, is futile. The language of many black preachers who preached during the Civil Rights era was marked by the struggle to preach love in the face of blatant racism and white supremacy. Yet the gospel has ENDURED. We won't ever have to experience that kind of persecution, and because of that...we should be grateful. Let's just ensure that we are evangelizing the lost, discipling the body of Christ toward proper biblical interpretation, exegesis, and exposition...and even beyond that...being the hands and feet of Jesus to compel the lost to come. If half our energies went there, perhaps we'd see a greater demonstration of God's power through the Church at large.

Brother, just started watching your vid, and I have to comment quickly regarding your statement about “seminary.” In all my years of knowing and listening to various pastors, I’ve learned that many who attend seminary still have to be checked. There are many who attend and learn Hebrew and Greek, church history, contextual studies, etc. and STILL come out of the seminary and have their own method of interpretation, often influenced by their denominational traditions and influences. Four to eight years of seminary training and STILL possess the teachings and characteristics of a false teacher. All the more reason why each one of us need to learn the fear of the Lord and be students of His Word. We need to grow in the practice of spiritual discernment and discretion. Pastors need to learn and be constantly reminded that their position and ministry is not about them. The proper title and character of a shepherd is to acknowledge himself as an UNDER shepherd, under God’s authority. Knowing the seminary degrees and letters following the pastor’s name (D.Min, ThD, etc.) means very little for most. I can go further. Let me finish your video 😊. But thanks for addressing this matter, especially the political influences. That’s what I’m listening to now.

Also, watching how race relations went downhill after the Obama years has been very painful to watch.
