Enescu and Ravel were good friends, so it wouldn't be surprising if they garnered information from one another. My memory might not be exactly right, but there's a story where Ravel asked Enescu to play the score of one of his violin concertos. When Enescu was finished sight-reading, he put away the score and wanted to play it once more, Enescu played it again perfectly without the score from memory after sight-reading it once. That would've been something incredible to witness!

I think you might mean "Tzigane," since Ravel didn't write a violin concerto. Good story though.

They both studied under André Gedalge and Gabriel Fauré. It's no surprise that their musical languages, altough distinct, have a lot of simmilarities.

Very well played. Neoclassical. Yeah, I could hear slight influences of Alborada and perhaps a bit of the Stravinsky Sonata, but so what? One can find influences everywhere from everywhere, but Enesco's style (even if a bit musically verbose) is - I don't know.

you inspiredme to learn sorabji, and in general to learn atonal music, I think it will force my brain to recognize patterns in the "noise" and to group sounds etc so when I play normal music I will able to recognize easier patterns
