How much would you sell one for?
@Overmotor
11 ай бұрын
@@gregd9252 Well all in this bike cost me close to $14k. If I could do it all over again I could probably get a dream bike price close to about 10-11k and a "very nice" bike at around 8k so if I was to do custom builds for people I'd probably charge whatever the pieces are plus about $1,000 in labor (because this build took me close to 4 months haha)

One of the most difficult parts of the build tbh 😅. I ended up finding that Watt Wheels had two frames and I bought one of them. Not sure if the other is still up for grabs. Anyways, SurRonShop said they now have frames in stock as well 👍

@Overmotor

Thanks a bunch man! Yea the carbon is awesome haha. Most of it you can either find on Amazon from the company "funparts", just make sure it's the real carbon fiber and not the imitation (you can tell by the price and it will also say it on the listing page). For other parts have a look on Aliexpress, there are some pretty good deals! Just search up SurRon Carbon Fiber and you'll find all you need :)

The only thing i don't like, is the back wheel is smaller than the front wheel.
@Overmotor
11 ай бұрын
It's typical for dirt bikes. The smaller rim allows for a thicker and more grippy rear tire for off-road use and is a normal 21/18 setup. The linkage in the rear is raised to make the seat height flat so you aren't slipping off the back or anything.
@MotoAlias

how did you put that rear and side fenders on? I have seen some people say you need zip ties and that's it but maybe you used something else?
@Overmotor
7 ай бұрын
To explain it over text, you get the kit from gritshift with some screws. You have to screw in the side fenders into the bottom of the seat first, then attach them to the rear fender with bolts included and then bolt the seat to the subframe and that holds everything in place well. Hope this helps!
@TheRealMime-_-

How has the painted shock held up? Any chipping? What paint did you use?

I was planning to buy a 72v 8000w stealth bomber clone from alibaba, should I change my mind and get surron?
@Overmotor
11 ай бұрын
Hey dude! Thank you so much for asking, hopefully I can help you out! Basically the stealth bomber is great for 2 reasons. 1.) Price to power ratio is better than the SurRon and 2.) it's a hub motor so it's quieter. That being said, a SurRon has some advantages as well 1.) Higher build quality 2.) Better low-end torque (like wayyyy better) 3.)Better upgrades available 4.) Better off road (Off roading is not an option on the stealth bomber). For your average daily driver, not doing anything crazy, I'd honestly recommend the stealth bomber because it blends in more as a pedal bike, however if you want to have fun off roading, the ability to upgrade in the future, instant torque, and just a better build quality overall, then I'd recommend the SurRon 100%. With a SurRon you also have the versatitlity. You want it higher off the ground? Done. You want it Lower to the ground? Done. You want a belt setup to be quiet? Done. You want to do hard-core off roading?
@xyz-fw9nh
11 ай бұрын
@@Overmotor omg thanks! i didnt think you would even respond. i dont need off-roading and i need more of a commuter so i think stealth bomber better for me since its cheaper, and when u buy surron u need like 3x amount of money to upgrade it. tysm!! (im broke asf)

Get a Talaria. Better then the surron.
@Overmotor
11 ай бұрын
@@mike197606 honestly nowadays I’d almost have to agree with you. Talaria’s gearbox is much better than what the SurRon has, however I find the battery compartment to have issues (fitment, won’t allow for bigger batteries without replacing the cover) which is why I decided on a SurRon. But other than that you can’t really beat a talaria nowadays, especially if it’s stock.

I see you have non original regen throttle which would come with bac 4000. Official named "regen throttle" especially for bac 4000 costs 28eur, but on aliexpress there are thumb "acceleration throttles" for 7eur. Is that the same thing and should work also?
@Overmotor
3 ай бұрын
Hi! Hope you're doing well and good question! I know the GLE BAC4000 my bike uses has a certain type of connector that doesn't allow me to use most aftermarket regen throttles. I'd say have a look to make sure the connection is the same, and if it is then there's no reason not to buy it for Aliexpress. hope this helped :)
