I can't tell you how long I've waited for this day to come! I finally got rid of the tyvek sound flapping in the window openings! This might not seem like a big deal, but it's been a few months of listening to that each time I'm out there working, and to be honest if I weren't filming I would just throw on some headphones and keep to myself, but trying to film and talk and concentrate (and edit out as much of the noise and interruption as I could) was getting 'old' lol.
With the side decks done, I can now work so much more easily on the rest of the outside aspects of the cabin, so I've started installing the exterior insulation and the windows. I was mentally held up for a while on how to execute these steps by adding exterior insulation. I asked a couple of people their thoughts, looked up some stuff on KZitem, and settled on what I do in the video. I milled up some strips of cedar to bump out my window rough openings to the thickness of my insulation to create a 'new' sheathing layer. I've never installed anything properly in anything I've built before (🫣😬), so I am trying to do my best and most professional job here, but you know....I'm still a gerbil. 😂
If anyone has any suggestions for me moving forward, please let me know in the comments!
Thanks for watching and see ya in the next one! (I've got a fun Wednesday video for you! 🤩😁)
