WELCOME TO THE MACHINE by Pink Floyd is the GREATEST piece of music ever performed, played, sung or written!!!! You are missing out on life if you haven’t heard it yet!!! I heard it when i was 9. Did you miss one of Nick's drumstick going flying out of his hand? (20:32 in the non-split version) He recovers so smoothly you have to be paying attention to notice. There must be a different edit, because it's in a long shot in this, but I've seen it from a close-up just on him from his left side.
@Rassskle

@@BruceHoultFlying drumstick syndrome happens all the time to all drummers...... as well as splintered and snapped stick syndrome....lol The beauty of a drummers skill is in how they play on like nothing happened. Good drummers cover it up brilliantly and only other good drummers notice the blip, and are themselves impressed with the smooth cover up.
@atheist101

@Rassskle Also good bands don't stop playing when some catastrophe happens. I watched a guitarist have everything that can go wrong happen. First his string snapped, then his tuning knob fell off and finally his pick ups stopped working. The band kept going with only bass, drums and vocals until another band gave the guy their guitar to use. Didn't subtract from the performance at all.

There are some little tiny misses if you really look for them. But the thing is, that is natural in real music. It's part of what makes it all human and so much more intriguing than some robotic sounding stuff. All in all though it is absolutely insane to stay this tight and close to perfection for 24 minutes, it's nuts.

"This sounds so raw". Recorded on location with mobile equipment in 1971 -- around 52 years ago! This song (or anyway a studio version of it with more production) took up the entire 2nd side of their "Meddle" album. And you've only heard half of it. There's a whole more more ... and more changes ... to come. Some of us were recommending a link with the whole song in one part.

While you could watch pt. 2 of the live version (you definitely should at least on your own time), I recommend just going for the studio version. The live version is a great vibe, but the studio is just sonically superior in every way. It's how the band meant for u to listen to it. 😅 also, I'd appreciate if you brought up the lyrics maybe at the end. For me, a good term to describe Pink Floyd’s music is “eargasmic”. Loved this band since the sixties.

Me too, It brings me such joy watching people reacting to Pink Floyd for the first time... If someone would do a reaction to people reacting to Pink Floyd for the first time, I think I'd watch that too LOL
