@blake9184

@Dwayne D he lost the 36k one time and that was before he made videos. That’s why he teaches to give yourself a “stop loss” every time because just like winning streaks, things can quickly not go your way. You get around this by setting a certain amount to not go past losing. This is the reason 99% lose. No discipline or self control and they don’t know how to take a loss. When I learned how to take a loss and not get emotional, that’s when I started wining.
@jaxsonbateman
2 жыл бұрын
@@sissiroxie Actually, Martingale with some thought and nuance put into it is a pretty decent strategy. The thing is, you have to account for the main weakness (you don't have unlimited funds to pump into it, so you need to ensure those series of bets have as high a chance as possible of winning). The issue with Mitchell is that he's using the very basic, 'dumb' version of it, so he hasn't accounted for that weakness. Actually, he makes it worse by occasionally pumping more money into a series of bets. The biggest flaw is that he uses 2:1 casino games, so his individual game winrate is sub-50%. If you want Martingale to work, you need to get your winrate higher than that. You also don't need 2:1 bets. A first bet in a series can be for any odds, because you're always coming out ahead if that wins. A second bet can be as low as 3:2 (1.50 odds) and you'll still break even on the series. Not needing to force 2:1 bets means you can go for options that are much better than a 50% chance of winning.

I will say I explain to a few family members all the times the fallacy with lottery tickets (that they're losing money on average every time), but they still get them. @Jimbo8012

@@jaxsonbateman - Most people who buy lottery tickets aren't compulsive gamblers and know the odds of winning are infinitesimally small. However, the lure of winning a 100 mill for just purchasing 1 ticket costing next to nothing is quite big. They'll probably lose 50 per month which obviously mounts up, but it's not thousands per month which many gambling addicts spend. Many people who gamble in casinos are compulsive and degenerate gamblers who think they can beat the system...which they obviously can't. I think the Louis Theroux documentary on Las Vegas really shows the mindsight of these types of people.

I have seen a few of your videos in which you say you do not make personal attacks on people. You made several personal attacks on this guy. I watched a few videos of this guy to see what he says. My question to you is what proof do you have that he makes no money gambling? (other than your opinion and personal attacks on him!) You say that there is no way to win long term because the casinos have a built in edge but this is a very one sided way to look at the math. Many businesses profit using probability. So are you saying that using that same probability on table games is not profitable? If so you are wrong. The Wizard of odds Mr. Shackleford uses simulators for thousands of hands but makes the mistake of confusing a skilled player with a computer program. Stop wins, stop losses, probability of certain events, and bet manipulation can all work to obliterate house edge. There are many players that have been banned from casinos for making too much money. Does house edge somehow not apply to these players?! This video was just for clicks and is just shit talking with no proof. Who cares if this guy did porn, you say it doesn't matter but you bring it up like three time. Not cool bro.

I guess he could look at it as, "Any publicity is good publicity", but I have to imagine he's really frustrated right now, because a lot of this is also for his ego. Minor comment, but the reason for table limits is not the martingale or other betting systems, it's to segregate gamblers into broad groups by how much they're willing to spend/bet. Casinos don't have to worry about the martingale because their exposure in any given martingale run is to lose the initial bet. For example, if the player starts at $1 and has a losing streak such that they are eventually betting $2048, the casino has already won $2047 from that string of bets and if the gambler wins that last bet, the net amount the casino has lost is still $1. The reason this system can't beat the casino long term is that a). there is no such thing as an unlimited bankroll and hence b). the expected value is still the house edge on the game, i.e. some negative number. Mathematically, there is no combination of bets (i.e. betting system) that can turn a -EV or 0 EV game into a +EV game. On pure coin flips the martingale is still not a winning strategy, it's a breakeven strategy.

Years ago I watched a video on counting cards in Blackjack. Probably the most honest video about card counting I ever watched. In a nutshell, the guy explained the only way to be successful at it is if you do it as a full time job. The typical gambler that goes to Vegas a few times a year will never make good money counting cards. They may sharpen their skills a little, but if they happen to win during one trip, that was simply luck. Being a successful card counter requires spending hours playing black jack every day; like a job. There will be days when its a total loss; but, over time the profitable days outnumber the losing days. But, even that is becoming difficult as casinos recognize advantaged players and ban them. Eventually the card counters are banned from all casinos. My take away from that video, and this one; don't waste money on anyone's tricks to beating the odds

Yes. Having a small positive edge then requires hours and hours of getting through enough small stakes to average out the fluctuations without wiping out the bank roll.

LOL, 20 or so years ago when online casino just got started, I was a college kid and I imagined using Martingale style system on Baccarat and win tens of thousands of dollars. I actually attempted this, every time starting with a $5 bet and the third time I actually had a winning streak that took me to $425!! And then soon enough, I started hitting a brick wall and went from $425 to $0 in like 20 minutes. Right at that moment I realized, OMFG this game is rigged! The system must've detected I was using a strategy and stacked the odds against me. Right at that moment I uninstalled all of the casino games and never touched online casino ever again. I lost $15, but hey, I learnt something that day!😃

Man these videos are great. The sad part is all these people, are scamming people and there are so many gullible people out there that will see their videos and think where do i sign up. All these online gambling influencers get credits from the online casino's so it looks like theyre flush with cash but in reality its just fake money the casinos give them to play with to draw viewers in and potential customers

The problem with CM is that he makes claims with no proof. For example, "I made $3000 online last night playing Roulette" but shows absolutely no proof like the "history" on his online casino account. Or maybe even show casino receipts on his sports wins. He claims he is a millionaire which is a joke in itself bc no millionaire plays online for .50 bets. There is no "strategy" or "system" for Roulette or Baccarat but people will follow this loser and believe anything he says.

Back for another comment - thought on it for a moment, and it's actually quite easy to quantify just how bad using Roulette (or any player vs casino game) for traditional Martingale is, if you're maxing out at 6 bets. I'm assuming Mitchell isn't increasing his initial bets as his bankroll increases; it seems beyond him. A 6 bet Martingale system requires an initial bet of 1/63rd of whatever the bankroll is - so a unit in that system is effectively 1/63rd of the starting bankroll. Because you win a unit each time you win a chain of bets, that means he has to win 63 chains before losing ONE. Everything else here is maths. Picking red or black, the odds of winning at the table he's shown at during the video is 18/37, or 48.6%. So his odds of losing are 51.4%. That means his odds of losing a single chain are 1.8% - meaning his odds of winning a single chain of bets is 98.2%. Pretty good odds - for a single chain. What are the odds of winning 63 chains in a row though? Simply the odds of winning one, to the power of 63. That brings a very sobering 31.2% chance of reaching a point where you've doubled your stake. Basically, if 10 people did traditional Martingale at a Roulette table with the goal of doubling up, maxing out at 6 bets, then 7 of them (on average) would walk away with losses.

@@CrdShk I'll definitely agree, that raw, unmodified Martingale using casino games that offer 2:1 odds and thus ~49% chance to win at best is not a great strategy - for the previously mentioned points, as well as your own. I started writing about my own experience, but it was turning into a bit of an essay, so I'll simplify - a modified version of Martingale can actually prove quite profitable. The two key points I'll highlight are that you don't have to use 2:1 bets - in fact, at no point in a chain of bets is 2:1 required to break even - which means you can go for higher probability bets, and if you choose bets appropriately (using stats and expected value, for example) you can get a much higher winrate that 49%, thus greatly altering the likelihood that you'll double up before losing a chain of bets. In fact, as your winrate goes up, the ideal number of maximum bets to maximise likeilhood of a double up changes - with my current winrate it seems that the more bets I can go to in a series, the better my odds. Without doing even more maths, maybe 50% is the key? Sub-50% and less is better; over-50% and more is better. Yep, that seems to be the case. Plugged a 50% winrate in exactly, and the odds of winning a chain of bets seems to barely move.
