The first season of this show is so different from everything. It started pretty mean spirited, but about halfway through the cast and crew didn’t want to pull off the prank anymore. It turned out to be a great study on how pure hearted the average person can be and I highly recommend it.
@teethgrinder83
Жыл бұрын
It's funny you say that, there's another show that did something like this and they were extremely mean to begin with and then couldn't bring themselves to be so mean later on and ended up being nice but I'll be damned if I can remember if it was a show from here in the UK or if it was an American one I've either seen or just seen reviewed on KZitem, it's annoying me now lol there was a really good show we did over here that made a guy think he was literally going into space and they even rigged up a Hollywood-style ship to make it feel to him as though he actually was in space (and even some of the actors were so immersed in it they felt it was amazing and it looked beautiful). They were all so worried about letting him know it wasn't real because he was in such awe and was such a lovely guy and didn't want to let him down, he took it really well though and still thought it was a wonderful experience. Plus he got a good chunk of money which probably helped haha
@teethgrinder83
Жыл бұрын
@Justin yeah it was tbh, that show about pretending to take that guy in space really didn't go as they expected-i mean he still looked a bit ridiculous in parts of course but then again so did the actors so I reckon that helped, especially as there was a whole lot of "preparation" for getting them into space and the lines between the actors and the guy got pretty blurred because they were all in it together even if the actors had prior knowledge, if that makes sense lol

I took American Sign Language for 4 years and I used to volunteer and work with the deaf community in my area growing up. Both the interpreter and actress are using actual American Sign Language which is incredibly surprising to me. Also, they definitely could have found a deaf actress or even a hearing actress who is born to deaf parents (which is a common thing). Overall, they definitely could have found someone connected to the deaf community or deaf culture in some way. They also didn't need to do the voice like that; there's varying degrees of deafness and not every deaf person sounds like that.

They certainly aren’t using ASL. 😅 Thanks for the entertaining video!

Lorenzo Lamas was, if I recall correctly, the biggest star on the USA cable television network in the late 90’s. And not because he was particularly good, but because they had a show that they went particularly hard on marketing. This was not like Jeffrey Donovan being the biggest star on USA because Burn Notice was actually a really good show. This was like how The Disney channel picks a teen actress and throws her in everything they can while also producing her music career and marketing the shit out of her. Only it was USA, so they didn’t have the budget that Disney does. Also, it was a young-ish to middle aged man who couldn’t influence young men and boys the way Brittany Speares could influence girls, and he certainly wasn’t attracting perverts the way that the Disney Channel and Nickelodeon girl stars do.

I actually recognized Lorenzo Lamas right off the bat, the crux is, I couldn’t place his face, even though I used to watch renegade all the time just because he’s aged just enough to where he looks slightly different…. But I was on the younger side(7 or 8)when he was in his heyday and I’m 40 so I wouldn’t expect anyone under 40 to recognize him at all, but he had like three years in the 90s where he was a superstar on the USA network when it was good…his star rose quickly, faded quickly, but I actually do believe that that one dude recognized him… like I said there’s a couple years where he was a superstar….
