i demoed this and thought it sounded sweet on a drum bus. then i pulled up trackcomp 2 (purchased based upon your review and 30 day demo), setup the 2A model at 50% "response" to let more low end pass through, slow attack and mid release and 8x oversampling and matched it pretty well. and track comp has lots more flexibility and 7 other models! total sleeper bc the ui isn't 'analog' looking.

1st off Love your work!!! You’ve bring to the table for what a lot of past & upcoming engineers, musicians, artists & producers that use plugins as a base for mixing & mastering need to hear so thank you. Now in my opinion Solid State Logic (SSL) Have Emulated a Great Version of Their own products!!! The SSL 2 Channel Strip & Bus Compressor 2 Plugins. To me these products actually sound great & are very close to having the authentic SSL sound. They Now Have The UC-1 Controller Which Actually Gives U That 100% Feeling of working on an SSL when u use the controller & the 360 plugin view when starting out with your static mix instead of looking at tons of other plugins using a mouse. Very interested on seeing you do a review on their product because in my opinion you stay true to the products & give a fair review & assessment. Hopefully we can get a review on this product ADAP from you because I Love it!!!

from the manual: "On the left most position, this knob only allows the processed “compressed” signal to pass through. Moving the control counter-clockwise to the right mixes in a percentage of the original “dry” signal . This gives the user more tone shaping and “parallel processing” options needed in today’s workflow" appears they don't know which way clocks go. also from the manual: "This knob works counter-clockwise and is the “threshold” control for the compressor. The range is set from +10dB to -30dB. Turning “right” means more compression."
