Little tip for the initial circle mesh, you can add a circle and just Face -> Poke Faces, it'll do the same thing in one step. Minor but maybe it helps someone. Thanks for showing this off! I don't know what I'll do with it but I already feel the neurons firing, lol

can you do tutorials like this for beginners and tell what you have to press on your keyboard? it's a good tutorial but when you do steps like 2:35 "switch to wireframe" and I don't even know how to open this menue.... 🙁 maybe u can say "press key ... to open menu bar, then switch to wireframe"

I just read that the creator of the addon is (hopefully still) working on a solution to implement his algorithm into geonodes, which would enable control over animating this stuff. That would be amazing. But until then, is there an efficient way to make frames out of all the growth steps?
@attimp4
7 ай бұрын
There is a way through scripting, you can set the value that controls growth to change on every frame. However that offers very little control and isn't very user friendly.

How nice, Now ..since the creator of the tutorial didn´t recall what the background mesh is called, it´s called a cyce. :) But the cool part is of course the differential growth. Been waiting for stuff like this, though when it´s possible to animate the growth, and remesh stuff, perhaps include in geometry nodes, then it will be utterly awesome. Remember quaddel? Deskriptive Gbr kzitem.info/news/bejne/mn5_nnqbq32jaYY First I didn´t get this to work, but not sure if it was because of 3.3.2 candidate or where I placed the zip. installed it from the zip with blender 3.4 alpha, and it worked though.
