Here in Brazil there is a similar dish, caruru, which contains okra, palm oil, peanuts, coconut milk, garlic, onion, ginger, chives and coriander, but we usually add shrimp or cod.

Okra soup is not a foreign food. Is also originated from the Gambia and well cooked by the Creo's and the Aku Marabou's🇬🇲🇬🇲

I know I don’t think she knows the history lol saying it’s from Nigeria, we west Africans cook very similar in our own way, Nigerian okra soup is nothing like how we do it.
