Same here. I had it on my DS as well and when I would look up videos on how to beat it I would constantly see the console versions and wonder why my game looked worse. I used to think it was a sequal because my english wasn't developed enough to understand that they were different versions. Blew my mind a few years ago when I was browsing steam and found the PC/Console edition. Great stuff.

I always love fishing in this game, which is why the flooded village is my favorite level. The open area where you have to use your hat to go across the village that has been flooded is really good but my favorite fishing spot is the one close to the shop in the bamboo forest. It's just so zenny. So calming. I really want another adventure game where it doesn't always feel like 100 enemies are chasing me all the time. I want more modern games where I can explore actually beautifully stunning places and you can do small relaxing stuff there, even if it's just fishing in the middle of a bamboo forest that has been submerged. I do think that this is what we all need. It's actually getting a bit tiring with all the crazy combos with hard enemies games that we got nowadays. I mean, I like them, I like challenges, but I also like to take a deep breath once in a while. Just sit there and enjoy the view. The videogame industry, especially triple a studios, really need this type of games

When I was younger, my dad brought me and my brothers to GameStop once and we each got to pick a game. I can't remember what I picked, but my dad picked Mini Ninjas for the 360 because he thought it looked cool. When I saw the cover art for it, I expected it would be some basic kids game and I wouldn't like it, but that could not be further from the truth. My brothers, dad, and I each took turned playing that game for weeks. It had so many cool spells and fun mechanics. I especially liked how his hat could be used as a sled or boat at the press of the RS button, as well as the spell that turned you into a bush. Also the parkour and secret passageways. That game was so imaginative and simply really fun to explore and advance in the story. I wish the steam port was better because I'd love to replay that game on my PC now.

If two people had it on DS and were close by, they could play co-op. It was a 1v1 where one person is the main nInja and one person is a samurai and they place you on a decent sized map so you guys would have to find each other and fight. I remember as a kid playing it with my buddies at daycare.

I don't know how many times I played the demo for Mini Ninjas back on my 360. I squeezed every bit of content I could from the demo, which was just the second level of the game. Remember thinking the demo was packed with content, but it was really just me exploring absolutely everywhere. Was beyond stoked when I finally got the full game on disc. Truly one of my favorite experiences as a kid, let alone video games. Seeing Suzume go down the river in her hat-boat spinning her flute around immediately brought me back to how I would always switch to her at water sections because I thought she was faster? LOL Such a fun game that I hope I get to show my little cousins or even my own children some day. Great video, man. Thanks for making this.

Coincidentally, I had this game when I was in elementary and still play it until now. The one thing that makes the game fun is the Ninjutsu (Kuji magic) that only Hiro can do. It's fun to possess animal and even the small blue samurai once you get the ninjas to the max level. Don't forget that the samurai's behavior is the most hilarious that I have ever seen XD. I always enjoy seeing these samurais running away in panic and burst into animal when defeated. Edit: I did make gameplay videos of this game but still hasn't managed to finish it yet but I'm almost at the end. Maybe I can continue the game again this weekend and start recording the gameplay😀
