That's the thing, Snyman's role isn't to run fast. He's there to run through people and take as many of them with him as possible, which frees up space for the speedsters

He's a very underrated player. Imo he's the best love in the world when he's not injured. He's also got incredible speed for his size. Also offloads like a back. Probably the best hands for a lock I've ever seen

He signed for Irish province Munster 2 seasons ago and only played 2 games because he did his ACL…..TWICE! So he hasn’t played rugby for 2 years & 4 months. It’s sad because on his day he’s probably the best lock in the world. Eben Etzebeth is an enforcer but RG is the more natural gifted footballer

I have to agree. The Springbok pack will dominate at the next WC. If we improve our backline by just 20%, we will be absolutely unstoppable. We have the players to step up and improve our ability to score backline tries. We will be in the final come RWC 2023. Only question is, who will we face?

I had an uncle who was 6ft10 (sadly passed away). His nickname was Tiny lol. He had to bend his head to walk through a door, was bad news for furniture, too many chairs broke when he sat on them lol. Wise cracks like how is the wind up there, he would answer with, stick your nose in my ass and feel them 😂. So I have an idea of how large a man like Snyman is. With those huge hands and long arms so easy for him to catch/pass the ball. Always fun to watch. Idk if you noticed but it was Etzebeth he took on couple of times in the video.

@@roybean7166 I would assume so, as most South African boys play rugby from a young age and he definately would have played lock for his school team. He might have played for his town team too, somewhere in the old Transvaal. He lived in Namibia for some years too.

Well, I live in Cape Town. Yrs ago at school , a guy was 6ft 7 inch. He played first team rugby, but was useless. Could not jump. But he was there as he was tall enough to just catch a ball in lineout. !! But overall , what a useless player he was.
