History right there. In addition to the instrumental stuff, Jason Becker's Lil Aint Enough guitarwork was out of this world. So restrained where required, tasteful punchy rhythm, and devilishly scorching hot leads but always serving the song. In the post EVH hard rock guitar hero band music world, you have Nuno and Jason at the top of the pyramid. Still unchallenged 30 years later.

I was lucky enough to meet Jason and Marty at both the all ages and the over 21 Cacophony shows for Go Off at the Thirsty Whale in River Grove IL and it's one of my best memories. They were both playing their Carvin guitars at that time.

He was going in and out w a Hoodie, super disheveled, smoking a cigarette. I got there super early. So when he kept going in and out she was like "do you know when van Halen is getting here" or something to that effect to which he replied "you're looking at him," and kinda just walked off hahahaha

People who ask for clean to “hear” the guitar are dumb. The sound will be different depending on the phone, laptop, speakers they are listening through. The Microphone used to record, where the microphone was placed, what amp was used, what cab was used: what EQ settings were used. And these fools think they are “hearing” the guitar. I’m just her to see some playin. 👍 and to see a cool guitar

I remember hearing DLR's Alittle Aint Enough the first time. I thought it was Steve Vai for sure. The stupid busy rhythm style mixing leads all through out. It just sounded technically impossible for any other player than the out of this world guitar wizardry that was Vai. Of course this was long before KZitem, and even the Internet. If MTV didnt play the video or A Guitar magazine didnt talk about it. You didnt hear about it. Learning by ear off of cassette tapes. Players now have it made..

When I was about 9 years old, I heard Cacophony and was blown away. It was around 92/93, I had started guitar lessons. The teacher was this dude named Ozzy, and he showed me what he was working on and played it for me. Those guitars couldn't have ended up in a better place.

Not my cup of tea as far as the aesthetics, but it sounds great! I have my Peavey Predator (1993) to this day, and I love the way the action is on that thing. Had that guitar since 94.

They're Seymour Duncan's but I genuinely have not a clue. I'm sure it's on the internet somewhere but no one told me when I bought it. Kiesel makes a version but I'm not sure if they're the same pups or not

I have the numbers and the ying/yang JB tribute models and they are both top tier. I have over 30 guitars and 27 are either Carvin or Kiesel Best I've ever owned and I've had them all at one time or another.

lol I'm still waiting for a complete faithful rendition of Jason's 'Mabel's Fatal Fable' he composed at 17 and recorded at 18, so far only Yo Onityan, a modern super-shredder from Japan played like half of it faithfully like it should, not bad for a guy who plays "sloppy"
