Much much respect brother….i worked in bike shops from age 10 to 21 got married had kids got rid of my shovel head at 23….I’m now 60 and bought 2 badass bikes and they aren’t shovel heads so I am lost my 98 Titan is Awesome 112 s&s all S&S and Arlen Ness ….a manual haaaaa no such thing …everything on this bike is the most expensive thing you can do to a hot bike and my other is a 07 96ci 6 speed ultra classic with so many upgrades but the 14’ meat hooks weren’t pre wired so all the wires are on the outside of the bars …so I’ve lost a lot of sleep thinking not doing and came to the conclusion that $500 to a bike shop of real bikers is my only option …much respect to you sir ! Keep them videos coming brother your doing what most would not !

No shame in admitting your limits. I'm having to push past mine with this shovel motor. But all success is built upon failures.

watching the vid i saw a bus when you pulled away from your friend's house. it was a lynx bus. i used to drive for lynx when i lived in orlando. that was on OBT. i couldn't tell which part but of the 3 main routes that go on OBT none are fun. none. at all. in the least bit. either a bunch of stupidity, drama, or degenerates riding. link 107 is actually the absolute worst route in all of lynx. glad im no longer driving buses...

Just because you ran into some sketchy crap it does not hurt to reach out for a helping hand even if it costs.. You made 3 people happy the mechanic who loves working on bikes, your wife who loves you and the bike and yourself because the smile on your wife's face made you happy.

I've changed bars on my dyna twice and hated it both times! Who ever decided to put the controls plugs half way through the frame needs ... well something bad, let's just say that. 😅😂

Hiya Mike! My local repair shop hates monkeying with handle bars just for the reasons you mention. Use your talents for other things on the bikes..it’s all good Brother! As usual I wanted to tell you that your video editing in this video is awesome! Thanks for letting us hang out! Count me in for a shirt or two! -Chuck

Never realize what a pain in the ass. It is to take off those old tanks. I think the new touring bikes takes about five minutes to get the tank off.

dont take it to someone else. figure it out. worst case scenario have a buddy that has done it before come over and take a look. if you take it to someone to do for you, you dont know how it was done or what was done. what happens when you start having electrical issues that came from someone elses work? its all a learning proccess

@@UncleBogator I haven't owned a bike since I left the army more than 10 years ago... this year I finally purchased one, it was an old beaten to crap fatboy. It was so unsafe to be on the road words can't express... I ended up taking the entire thing apart and rebuilding it..... I was so far in over my head I wasn't sure I was going to be successful and I was going to have to sell a basket case ( as if I purchased much more than that ).... it was a major struggle, not just rebuilding it but working around the odd stuff that previous owners had done to it and finding parts that legitimately fit and are quality parts. Some parts were cheap ( quality and price ) because I couldn't find real quality parts for something that old that fit the look I was aiming at. Long story short, there were times I had to walk away because I couldn't figure it out... it probably would have made some good content if I was a content creator, but baby steps along the way... If you think it was the right choice then I won't argue. I was just trying to give a little encouragement. Enjoy your rain, we have snow here lol.
