The issue with that device is it doesn't have EDID so switching between monitors is really like unplugging and plugging in the monitor. Try something from TESmart which fakes the signal to each attached computer so they think they are all plugged in. Makes switching a lot easier. For example I can be playing a game on my screen, switch it to my work laptop to answer an email, and switch back to the game, without my game computer knowing I was disconnected. (of course it is more expensive)

Btw HDMI 2.1 can support 144hz, I have it on my Legion 7, for some reasons tech youtubers say that it only supports only 120hz 4k, however, I manually switched on my monitor to 144hz 4k and it works :)

I definitely like the sleek look of this. I have a 5 HDMI port switch and it’s very basic. This is one I’d definitely upgrade to. I’m sure definitely better signal quality than the one I currently have.

Gigantic gap: no usb ports to plug mouse/keyboard, etc.

that would require you to plug it into a usb c dock, and would massively increase cost. this is dedicated 4 port HDMI. For what you are looking at youd be more interested in a USB c dock
