Linklater is my favorite director. He has penned and directed a majority of my favorite movies of all time. I am miffed that I don't have the chance to see Hitman at a theater. Great interview!

What a way to come back! I literally just watched an hour long Linklater interview yesterday. I have become obsessed with his films over the last few months and did a presentation on him my last semester of film school. So glad you guys got him! He’s by far the most underrated filmmaker of his generation. #ReelBlend4Lyfe

Glad to see the gang back. What I enjoy about this show is the dialog between all of you. Some other good film channels are generally just one person talking to a camera, this is much better. It reminds me of when I was young talking to all my brothers about movies nonstop. Thanks guys.

Always love seeing segments of you guys just talking about the movies you've seen recently! I freakin loved Challengers and I remember Gabe & Kevin digging it too. I was wondering if Sean and Jake have had the chance to see it as well, and if so what were their thoughts?

Great interview again!! I wonder did you guys see Hit Man at home or in a theatre? I’ve seen it twice in packed theatres (once at TIFF & once last week) and both times there were full audience applauses and cheering during the iPhone Notes App scene lol that might have influenced how much I enjoyed it

Wow, you guys really aren't excited for anything until Deadpool? We've got The Bikeriders, Kinds of Kindness, MaXXXine and Twisters. And I'm pretty excited about Quiet Place as well. It's written and directed by an interesting upcoming filmmaker. And even if it's not on the same level as the first two, it can still be a fun alien invasion movie. Besides these, I'm looking forward to these two smaller indie movies as well; Thelma and Longlegs. And I'm all there for the shitshow that will be Horizon.

Great interview! I’ve met Linklater a few times. He’s a super nice guy. I love a lot of his films (including “Me and Orson Welles”). However, “Hit Man” just didn’t click with me. Completely agree with your thoughts on the film. Finally, wasn't familiar with Scott Wampler. My condolences.

Terrifier 2 has Stephen King and Mike Flanagan's stamps of approval so those are enough to check it out! June 21 is my most hyped day for me because all the big indies are coming out that day. We got The Bikeriders with Mike Nichols with Comer, Butler & Hardy in the cast. We got Fancy Dance with Lily Gladstone that's super buzzed about since Sundance last year. We got new Yorgos with Kinds of Kindness. We got a new A24 movie Janet Planet. Then Green Border which is a controversial movie because it tackles the migrant crisis in Poland. So that's the one I'm excited about in between the big blockbusters.

Art the Clown is both funny and terrifying at the same time which makes him very, very interesting to watch. I think those Terrifier films might scratch an itch for some of us horror fans. Is not for everyone, but you might not know until you watch them.

Guys...gotta call you out on this one. In one hand you all say your schedules are too busy to see "every" movie. However, there aren't even that many movies out and several of you haven't seen the big movie releases so far. Hard to swallow just because you didn't get a "screening" that you haven't paid to see them. Tough to see such a passionate group not seeing movies. I know some of you have seen some, hit or miss. But come on...there isn't a lot out. Disappointed to hear that take right now.

I do agree that it would be nice if the boys had seen more of the movies that are out. I suppose it really is showing how this summer is really quite weak.. if even 'movie' people aren't going to the movies. Hopefully it's a temporary dip and that there will be more quality movies coming out before too long.

I am a filmmaker and I get this podcast recommended to me all the time by youtube, and I usually just can't stand it because it is so clear that Sean and Kevin have such a low understanding in what they are talking about. But this interview with just Jake and Linklater was just fantastic. Jake isn't mega knowledgable either but he asks good questions and lets the filmmaker go without pushing into completely nothing topics. I would listen to this podcast more if the interviews were more like this
