I wanted to say, after watching your videos for a couple of years, that I really enjoy your attitude, energy and video production. Thanks for motivating me, and helping me feel comfortable coming back to biking after not being on a bike much since I was a child. Once I got my drivers license, I never really got back on two wheels. I just bought a 2024 Aventon Ramblas emtb, to compliment my upgraded 2014 Trek X-Caliber 4, to work my way back in into the sport. Your videos have been a big part of the research I’ve been doing and the motivation to start biking again. Thanks for all you do.

Bro you gotta keep riding there! I used to think the same thing but now I go there almost every week. The climbs get easier and the descents get way more fun! I'd recommend you check out ODB and GZA if you have not ridden those yet. They are easy to see on trail forks. Keep up the good work, I'm hoping to get out there today!

If you're ever up in the mountains, there are a few epic rides you should check out. Wheeler. Lenawee. Two Elks/Commando. A must do, The Peaks Trail, the easiest of the four listed.

Glad to see you back on the trails! I think you were feeling some of the weight of that bike, much better for climbing, but downhill in steeps on loose surface will be tough, I could hear you dragging the rear tire a lot. Looks like fun, Jenn is a trip and great to see her back!

The only people that think mtbing on a emtb is easier, usually have never ridden a emtb on a downhill trail. It's a totally different type of riding.

E-MTBs don't respond to inputs as quickly, but are usually more stable due to the extra weight and low center of gravity. An E-enduro bike almost feels like a DH bike when pointed downhill. They actually corner pretty well due to the low center of gravity.

Great to see you back at Left hand! You're definitely getting better at downhill. This area has greatly increased my ability but I still always go there fully armored😋 I don't use an Ebike there but Ebikes at lefthand seems to be a "look the other way" issue for Rangers since they have to know Lefthand is practically overrun with them and rightly so considering these trails are perfect for them and 'unofficially officially' maintained by random community builders it seems...I think the Rangers know the mountain biking community won't stand for enforced restrictions there anyways (anymore than 4 wheelers did before the flood). Keep Lefthand Free!...relatively speaking😋

I'm heading out to Colorado next Saturday I'll be there for about a week. I'll be driving up from Oregon. My first stop will be Ouray CO for some hot spring dipping for a few days then I'll be making my way on over to CO Springs to hang out with a girlfriend for a while. I'm be bringing both my bikes my eMTB Transition Repeater & my Santa Cruz Megatower so I can get some riding in while I'm out there. I haven't ridden that side of CO yet so I'm really looking forward to see what's over there. It looks alot different from the Crested Butte area which I've ridden quite often & really enjoy. I'm not sure if you're in the CO Springs area but if you are I hope to see you out on the trails. Peace love & SOUL to ya Matty 🤘🏿😎

eMTB being easier... My MTBing experiencing is that handling, staying upright, negotiating terrain takes more out of me than the climbing. The e helps with climbing, sure, but I end up doing more of the other because I e climbed. Bottom line, I do more actual MTB'ing now with an e.

Given the constant uphill battle for access i see in my area, maybe don't brag about riding things that are illegal. It sets a bad precedent, which the local trail builders may have to deal with for years into the future. I had to work to turn away several riders in my area just today, who were not even aware they shouldn't ride a section of trail clearly marked NO MTB with large red signs. Not every area has access issues, but some of us are still dealing with backlash from years of ignorant or outright disrespectful riders pissing off local authorities and making it just that much harder to get legit trails built. Please don't sacrifice the years of hard work making mtb a legitimate passtime by breaking the law and further pissing off the people who hold the keys to access.
@mattj6676
5 ай бұрын
He didn't say it was illegal to ride there, just that he thought e-bikes weren't allowed on that particular trail. If anyone would be mad it would be the trail builder, but that doesn't limit anyone's access. That isn't a high class e-bike, those are generally allowed on any trail where biking is allowed.
@mrvwbug4423
5 ай бұрын
Left hand is ambiguous when it comes to e-bike access, Forest Service hasn't really said anything on it there. The area is not a secret and the vast majority of people who ride there are on e-bikes due to the brutal climbs. If e-bikes aren't legal there then nobody is enforcing it.
@mrvwbug4423
5 ай бұрын
@@mattj6676 The trail builders up there are all on e-bikes. The area is kind of a wild west of trails and the people who build up there are trying to get as many new trails built, usually to a higher standard to the old trails so they can get them grandfathered into the eventual management plan.
