Sounds like this works great. I still have issues wrapping my brain around AI in audio. If it works, so be it, however if this is feeding the future Terminator series, at least their audio quality will be great. 😮

Some pointers: My front wall isnt truly reflection free. It's soffit mount for the speakers and reflects or better said expands the bezel of the speakers which contributes in a very detailed stereo image, at least better than when those speakers where on stands. There is some low end absorbing trickery happening below the speakers with free hanging mini absorbers. You can't see it, it's behind the soffit wall gipsum layer. It's quite a nifty design by john sayers. Side walls directly besides my listening position are angled with broad band helmhortz resonators ( basically different sized gaps with a sealed shared absorbtion panel behind it). They reflect mid to higher frequencies to the back of the room, away from the listening position. The absorption part is for the lower end. Back wall of my room has big corner absorbers, as big as my room would allow and i have the entire ceiling covered with a thick, free hangin absorption cloud which I angled for looks and some more, theoretical, low end absorption. it's not perfect because it's a small room, but I think i managed to get the best results with the space i had to work with. And most of all, mixes and masters i do in there really translate well .

I'm very impressed! With SpectraLayers 10, that is; though your video is also wonderful! I have SpectraLayers Pro 9, so I have an upgrade cost of £68. Interestingly, there is no introductory offer. There wasn't earlier this year for Halion 7 either. In a way, I like that. I don't want to be pressured into buying early in order to save money. But I don't think I can wait too long to upgrade SpectraLayers as these improvements seem to be very good.

I didnt find i need wavelab pro that much. I have elements laying around which i mostly use for meta data editing, but even that isnt really recquired anymore. For DDP authoring I use the hofa ddp maker. Where do you use Wavelab pro for?
@memeswillneverdie
Жыл бұрын
@@whitenoisestudioI use it because of the incredible metering systems, modular design and editing features, not to mention the synchronisation with spectra layers to edit sections of the file, the DDP wizard is extremely intuitive and takes 2 seconds to have a ddp image ready. The analysis tool alone is worth the price for me, the ability to go to any stray peaks and attenuate them for manual limiting, the spectral editing build in is great for quick corrections, in wavelab you can have the meters read whatever point that the play head is over which is great for reading values at specific moments in a song. It’s tight integration with cubase means that I can click on a file in cubase and edit it in wavelab with a single press. The error correction features are incredibly easy to use and are extremely powerful. The loudness tab lets me see the the LUFS values over time which can be extremely useful when doing automation in mastering. Honestly for both mastering and general editing needs I’ve yet to find something to comprehensive I could spend a day and a half just listing all of the features and use cases 😂 The Strindberg workflow between all of their products is seamless and it makes me think about navigating the software less and makes me focus on the material I’m working on.

@DirettoIZM : that's only apple's problem with their monotol behavior. I´m a former hardcore Logic user, now on Cubase 12. And veery happy. Logic lags in so many ways... NO MACROS!! NO plugin search function, latency bug over sidechains, rudimentary unflexible old mixer, clunky automation editing, etc. etc.
