What a lame comment by a bitter, manchild Philly fan. First, how many decades, GENERATIONS since litty bitty Philly won a cup? I think Nixon was still President when it happened last. Maybe Ford, who knows since it was a lifetime ago and then some. Not the case with Anaheim. Anaheim and the majority of OC is some of the most beautiful and desirable areas in the Nation. Not a crime infested, poverty stricken trash heap like Philly. Gauthier probably took a look around, laughed and said, nope....The Flyers is also a poorly run organization, hence the half century plus without a cup. Another reason why anyone with a brain in their head can see why he jumped ship. Your comment was hilarious though. A desperate fail on your part, but still funny. Don't worry maybe your great, great grandkids will finally see a halfway decent Flyers team next century. or so Probably not. Oh well.

Much to do about nothing. There was clearly something about the Flyers that had him running for the hills. Hummm let’s think. Who had just started in mid June of 2022 when he was drafted a week later? John Tortorella. How were and have been the Flyers doing since that time? Bottom of Metro aside from last seasons anomaly. Oh and there’s their young star goalie of the future entangled in the WJHC Team Canada scandal. Likely a couple other reasons that the general public isn’t aware of. Because of unconfirmed reasons for him wanting out, he was vilified. Now one can assume he’s doing the right things in Anaheim and they want people aware so as to change what some would view as a false narrative of his character. Why wouldn’t an organization not want fans and others on the aide of their hot new prospect.

Philly "fans" still laying all this on Gauthier. They keep on assuming they know what is going on. Odds are Philly management overreached on their promises and Cutter called them on it by leaving. He interviewed well with the team before the draft and seemed genuinely excited to be a Flyer prospect. Meh, whatever, Philly fans will go for the easy target. It's too much work to press team management for actual answers. They will swallow the swill they are fed and then talk about throwing batteries at the kid or texting him some death threats. Classy. In retrospect I don't blame him one bit for leaving.

He ghosted John Leclair & Patrick Sharp. Refused their phone calls. Ghosted Briere & Jones. The issue was Gauthier after his freshman season at BC DEMANDED a contract and to play the rest of the season in the NHL RIGHT NOW - like a child. The TEAM decides when to give a contract and how to develop the players they've invested in. Briere wanted him back at BC for one more season. So Cutter quit like the egomaniacal fool he is.

Also Gauthier did told Philadelphia he didn't want to play in a Philadelphia. I find it strange that Philadelphia send him back to college when he was promised a spot in the nhl but they back track. Gauthier lit up world jrs. and college playoffs they wanted to meet with him to sign his ELC?
