When you have nothing but love in your heart, people know your questions come from a genuine attempt at trying to understand. My daughter has been my compass and I’m so grateful to her, it’s ok to ask and it’s always ok to educate instead of berate.

I agree and stand by your sentiment 100% - what you described is certainly what I would do. At the same time, the world is not required to see things your (or your daughter's) way. @@disdoncable I agree completely. It’s something I’ve taught my kids long ago, I love them dearly but the world couldn’t care less. People who blatantly ask out of sheer curiosity are owed nothing. @@ANDIWASLIKEYES I work in the medical industry. I understand that unlike sex, which is biological, gender is by and large a social construct. But you can't deny that certain biological elements and genetics heavily influence gender presentation. I don't agree with biological men identifying as female or biological women identifying as male. In my mind, both sexes go through unique biological and social experiences, and to say you identify as another historical gender without going through those experiences is disrespectful to me. I also don't agree with changing words like "mother" to "child bearing person" because transgender men are now having children. And people who say they're gender neutral -- what does that even mean? In my mind, you're not a person, you're a "thing" then. Race is a social construct as well. I would feel the same way if a white person "identified" as black. It's a slap in the face to those who have lived the black experience.

@@another_useless The only thing I edited was a month ago when I mispelled Kim with Lim. So again, what misgendering? And why does it matter when the transgender person doesn't even seem to care. Janet tried to be correct, to be the saviour when Eva simply wanted to buy soda and Mr Kim was selling. Its an easy day to day living that doesn't need wokeness to interrupt. He's not aggressive and Eva is not even the slightest offended. If you have watched the series, Janet has more prejudice than Mr Kim does. She has a white saviour symptom. Mr Kim tried to teach her how to spot a thief and when Mr Kim simply point at a black man, Janet quickly thinks its prejudice but Mr Kim in fact said "Not thief" to the black guy. Janet has the prejudice more than Mr Kim thus why that was the first thought she thinks, the race, the gender, the politicly correct labels when Mr Kim simply just sees humans. Have you actually seen the full series to know how Janet is actually just a really flawed Asian girl somehow having white guilt over minorities? She even judged her mother for looking "too Korean" with the outfit. So mind you, Janet has more prejudice than the politically incorrect appa.
